I've had a phone conversation and/or FaceTime with over 1,000 couples (yes 1,000) to talk about the Responding to Relationships (RTR) experience. When you realize that you can't stay in the military forever . . . Then transition to a Veteran's life is your next mission. How long does that take? This is not a PCS move or something you've done before. Plan on 2-3 years of part time study and thinking if you want to succeed. Would you go into combat without a plan or knowing the terrain and enemy capabilities? Of course you wouldn't. You want to succeed. Did you become a military expert after attending basic training or the basic officer course? Of course you didn't. You put years and much study into it. Military transition is not different.
