As I get ready to speak on the PCMA Canada East Chapter ’s Ask Me Anything panel all about food and beverage in our industry, I can’t help but reflect on how exciting the current trends are—especially the rise of non-alcoholic options. Don’t get me wrong, I love a great glass of Pinot Noir with the best of them, but there’s something so innovative and inclusive about the movement in the non-alc space. From zero-proof cocktails to thoughtfully crafted non-alcoholic wines and Proseccos, these options are opening up a whole new world of possibilities for events. Incorporating non-alcoholic beverages into event menus isn’t just a trend; it’s a way to create more inclusive experiences for all guests. I’m thrilled to see where this movement takes us and how we, as event professionals, can continue to embrace it. As I post this I am enjoying a delicious little non-alc Prosecco while making dinner. It’s a perfect reminder that amazing beverage experiences come in all forms. Cheers to innovation and inclusion in our industry! 🥂 #foodandbeveragetrends #eventprofs #nonalcdrinks

We Sell Wine Differently Today – and Why Wine Fairs Still Play a Key Role Just a decade ago, wine sales looked completely different. Traditional distribution through retailers and importers was the focus, while today’s landscape is characterized by a strong development of digital platforms, direct sales, and a global market, especially with new generations in mind. E-commerce has revolutionized the wine industry, enabling both small producers and large suppliers to reach new customers through social media and other channels. Despite these changes, wine fairs remain one of the most powerful tools for creating business opportunities and partnerships in export markets. When it comes to Spanish wines, the Spanish wine fair FENAVIN, is the leading platform. What Makes FENAVIN Unique? Since 2001, FENAVIN has established itself as the most important fair for connecting Spanish wine producers with international wine importers. Support from the Spanish government makes this fair an affordable option even for smaller producers. Thanks to FENAVIN, small wine producers have the same opportunity as large producers with larger marketing budgets to reach an export market. Tools like "Contact with," "Business Searcher," and the Buyers Program enable exhibitors to create valuable business connections at a lower cost. This makes FENAVIN an optimal platform for wine producers to reach new markets and for buyers to effectively find the type of wine producers they want to add to their portfolios. Save the Date! I have followed FENAVIN since 2003 and have seen how the fair's business-focused concept has successfully established itself in the Nordics. FENAVIN 2025 will take place from May 6–8, and I expect yet another successful year. Are you a wine professional in the Nordics and want to know more about FENAVIN's Buyers Program? Contact nordiccountries@fenavin.com! #spanishwine #tradefair #FENAVIN
