We have some exciting news to share: Today, we are launching the new Strengthening Service Culture (SSC) initiative web page. This site includes the latest SSC news, resources, and online tools to engage and empower our workforce, and ensure that all members of Team Coast Guard have the positive workplace experience they expect and deserve. Guided by three overarching themes – Ensuring a Safe and Supportive Workplace, Reinforcing Our Core Values, and Fostering Engaged Leadership – Strengthening Service Culture will reinforce who we are and how we engage with one another. How can you help? Whether you’d like to learn about the Coast Guard’s Integrated Primary Prevention Program, become a Volunteer Victim Advocate or Resilience Coordinator, or participate in the Core Values Project, this site will be your source for ongoing SSC updates, resources, and opportunities. #StrengtheningServiceCulture #CoreValues #TeamCoastGuard https://lnkd.in/gAjWtrSc
Sounds good.. on paper... I'll believe things have changed when junior members stop asking me "I know what the policy says, but what is the "reality" if I want to get promoted?" The "unwritten" rules and "special clubs" have got to stop. . THEN we can strengthen Service Culture. It's disturbing that careers are planned this way.
USCG has a great culture. One only gets better when we identify and accept our challenges.
Will the coast guard festival have a special needs day like they have in the past? I know you got rid of it a year or two ago. Would be great to be inclusive of everyone again!!
