🌍 World Mental Health Day has been observed every October 10th since 1992, thanks to the World Federation for Mental Health, to raise awareness and advocate for better mental health for all. Over the decades, we've made incredible strides in breaking down stigma and expanding access to care, but there's still much work to do. This year’s theme, "Mental Health is a Universal Human Right," reminds us that mental health services should be accessible to everyone, everywhere, without discrimination. Let's continue the conversation, support one another, and push for a future where mental well-being is prioritized in every community for all ages. #WorldMentalHealthDay #MentalHealthMatters #UniversalHealthCare #MentalWellbeing #Awareness

Culturally competent treatment for all! This month is Bebe Moore Campbell National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month “Once my loved ones accepted the diagnosis, healing began for the entire family, but it took too long. It took years. Can’t we, as a nation, begin to speed up that process? We need a national campaign to destigmatize mental illness, especially one targeted toward African Americans…It’s not shameful to have a mental illness. Get treatment. Recovery is possible.” – Bebe Moore Campbell, 2005 Check out the link to the NAMI website for a toolkit of facts, suggestions, and resources to get involved! #BebeMooreCampbellNationalMinorityMentalHealthAwarenessMonth #NationalMinorityMentalHealthAwarenessMonth #competentcareforall #recoveryispossible

It's a crucial time to bring awareness to the unique challenges that racial and ethnic minorities in the United States face. Mental health affects us all, and everyone deserves the inherent right to have access to mental health support, resources, and care.
