In keeping with International Ideas Month, today’s thought for a Tuesday is about appreciating every idea, no matter how big or small. Ideas are the architects of progress, the seeds that blossom into the incredible things that shape our lives. All the wonderful things we have in today’s world began as a flicker of inspiration in someone's mind. So, if there's a concept brewing in your mind, seize the moment. Let this month be the catalyst for turning your idea into a reality. After all, every monumental achievement started with the courage to explore the potential of an idea. 💡 #InternationalIdeasMonth #TuesdayMotivation #Pronel #Recruitment

Proven background of enhancing student success through advising, relationship building, curriculum design, and teaching.
I think it's important to recognize the difference between a 4-day week and a 4-day presence. Consider the benefits of a split 4 days--as in some offices/areas being open M-TH and others being open T-F if needed. Also, a 4-day work week doesn't necessarily have to mean 3 days "totally off". The additional day could be reserved for Student Organization activities, valuable resources like Career Fairs, practicums and labs, internships, research opportunities, tutoring and Homework Hubs, academic interventions, and even campus events like Scholarship Symposiums or the Presidential Speaker Series. ***As a note, my LEAD Center has been seen an increase in our appointment requests for Fridays and Sundays; I think that says that students WANT that support on days they don't necessarily have to be there.*** I think for many of us in higher education, it may look more like a 4-day class schedule with the 5th day for campus culture building and student opportunities and support (that perhaps extends into the weekend).

What is keeping you from pursuing a career at sea? Women make up less than 2% of the world's maritime workforce! Let’s create a more diversified maritime industry, which is an attractive and safe career path for everyone. Tomorrow’s successful employers, also in the maritime sector, will have understood that it is important for both the industry and society as a whole to recognize the value of diversity and work towards breaking down the barriers. The maritime industry face extensive challenges as part of embarking on the future of technological transformation involving new fuels, digitalization, automation, and a much broader sustainability agenda. It requires leadership, a lot of talent … and diversity. I am impressed with the commitment and leadership shown by our partners engaged in the diversity@sea initiative to take the lead and unfold how these barriers can be overcome. We need to do more. We need to move faster. What is keeping you from pursuing a career at sea? What is the best thing about a career at sea?

Last week, #Huneety management team attended #ECHELON X, the annual main event that gathers inspiring startups and ecosystem players such as investors, corporates, SMEs, government institutions, and other stakeholders from Southeast Asia and beyond. Here are some key Takeaways by #Simon Carvi, Cofounder and CEO of #Huneety regarding #talentshortage in Southeast Asia. 🚨 25% of Workforce in Industrial Sector: A quarter of SEA's workforce is in industrial and manufacturing, highlighting the sector's critical importance. 🚨8 Million Unfilled Jobs by 2030: Due to a skills shortage, SEA is facing a big challenge in filling industrial and engineering positions. 🚨More-than-75-Days Time to Hire: It takes over 75 days to hire for industrial and engineering roles, leading to lost productivity and growth opportunities. The rising challenge to attract the Gen Z into the Workforce 🌟 Ineffective Job Advertisements: Many job ads are posted in the wrong places, so Gen Z candidates aren't seeing them. 🌟Passive Jobseekers: Young graduates apply only to jobs they come across, making social media a more effective platform for job advertisements. 🌟 Lengthy Application Processes: 73% of Gen Z candidates drop out due to long application procedures, showing the need for a simpler approach. Let's bridge these gaps and join us in our mission is to tackle SEA talent shortage!
