♠ “To our great partners, thank you for hosting another great Super Garuda Shield Exercise and thank you for being leaders in the region,” said USSOCOM Commander Gen. Bryan Fenton at the exercises opening reception. “Exercises like Super Garuda Shield, especially with Combined and Joint Forces, just don’t happen. They take a ton of planning, coordinating, and synchronizing.” Approximately 3,000 combined armed forces from the United States, Indonesia, Australia, Canada, France, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, United Kingdom, and New Zealand will participate in Super Garuda Shield 2024 from Aug. 26 to Sept. 6 to enhance combined interoperability capabilities. Super Garuda Shield continues to solidify the U.S.-Indonesia Major Defense Partnership Defense Cooperation Agreement and advances cooperation in support of a #FreeAndOpenIndoPacific. “Super Garuda Shield demonstrates the true power of partnerships,” said Fenton. “These are partnerships that bridge gaps across the interagency, across our services, across our combined forces.” #FriendsPartnersAllies Full story: https://lnkd.in/emEg-WZd
