Applications for our 2025 board leadership cohort are now open! Rarely do we see a healthy nonprofit with a dysfunctional board. 1. The program requires participation from the ED, Board chair, and 1-2 others from the nonprofit. Because learning doesn't happen when one person has to translate the content back to the group. 2. There will be up to 30 orgs in this cohort, fostering a collaborative learning environment. 3. Every organization is paired with a coach to guide them in identifying and achieving their 5 strategic next steps. 4. Session 1 is online, and session 2 is held at the Hilton in downtown Vancouver. Because work gets done when you have *time and space* and a table in which to talk and plan. The program is very practical with immediate take-aways and work product. 5. PNW nonprofit organizations (only) are eligible to apply. Quote from a 2024 participant: "The engagement level of the board has increased exponentially. There is an excitement and level of ownership that will help us clarify and tackle long-awaited projects."

One panel focuses on “Engaging Young Alumni as Advocates, Volunteers, and Future Donors,” featuring Jenny Cooke Smith, Paul Rucker, and Rachel Schaefer. On the closing day, the other panel is about “Developing Large-Scale Gift Opportunities, featuring Pete Lasher and Kimberly A. Hopely. Excited to hear what my colleagues and fellow conference attendees have to say about these topics.
