The digitalized world is all around us. We experience it not just in our work, but also as we shop, consume entertainment, power our homes, and move from place to place. All of this is dependent on the proper acquisition, transmission, orchestration and management of data. These are the four key pillars of data that digitalization depends on, and are the four areas where Belden is uniquely positioned to deliver. As we think about digitalization, one example of an industry that relies on data for safety, efficiency and reliability is mass transit. There are many points in a mass transit system that rely on the seamless flow of data to control things like train speed and braking, on-board communications, crossings, switching, signal lights, closed circuit TV systems, ticketing, PA announcements and much more. It truly is a connected environment, one where Belden shines in our ability to serve the complex and mission-critical network and data needs. I invite you to explore Belden’s Connected Rail Solution, an innovation that is shaping the next era of mass transit. https://bit.ly/45b6mSG #Belden #Innovation #DataSolutions #MassTransit

ITS Engineer at Utah Department of Transportation
2moThis past 25 years has gone by fast. I remember working with DFCM on the original plans for the building with Dave Kinnecom. After long discussions over where we needed to place the building, Region 2 offered up the area North of their office. I spent the next year working with Darren Rosenstein, Dave Kinnecom, Martin Knopp, Transcore, and Big D completing the building and interior components. All this combinded with 250 miles of fiber installation, VMS, CCTV, Roadway Detection, RWIS, upgraded intersections and other devices as they became available. This was an extremely hugh task, but one of the most rewarding of my 50 years with UDOT.
