PORTUGAL 4TH MOST GOOGLED DESTINATION Portugal is one of the most searched for tourist destinations in the world on the Google search engine. "The explosion of exciting restaurants in the north", the "blue water sanctuaries of the south", the cities of Porto, and Lisbon, but also the "remote Azores archipelago", are some of the reasons given by Condé Nast Traveler to justify Portugal being the fourth most searched global tourist destination on Google in 2023. Ahead of Portugal is Greece, which occupies first place, while Spain and Italy, are in second and third place on the podium, respectively. Condé Nast Traveler states that "Porto is a newcomer to the European gastronomy championship, but has quickly gained a reputation as a destination to be reckoned with". In the text, emphasis is also placed on the "remote Azores archipelago", which "is often forgotten in favour of the country's seaside resorts - think thermal waters, turquoise lagoons and volcanoes that pierce the clouds". https://lnkd.in/dcQns2cn #azores #portugal #island #nature #waterfalls

More than 70% of tourists carry out gastronomic activities during their trips, according to the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). It is encouraging to see so many travelers embrace the culinary path, a journey that we on this journey have always appreciated. It's not just about eating; it is about connecting, understanding and savoring the diverse flavors of the world. Gastronomic tourism is more than just a bit of excitement during a vacation. It's a deep dive into the heart and soul of a culture. When we talk about food, we talk about history, tradition and a unique sense of belonging that you can't get from a postcard. It is an educational journey, which teaches through the taste buds and nourishes both the body and the mind. #TourismGastronomy #CulinaryAdventures #TravelFlavours #TravelGastronomy #EpicureanExploration #TestTheJourney
