Are you working in the finance, legal, compliance, procurement, or project management team? Perfect, this one is for you. People in the data space often discuss how analytics engineering can benefit every department at a company, but they rarely actually address people in teams outside of the data and analytics sphere. It’s more often than not through the lens of a data practitioner. So, here’s a quick write-up on how #analyticsengineering can make life easier for you, a non-data practitioner 🫵 https://lnkd.in/dxJ2snZf #finance #legal #compliance #procurement #bizops

There are many different Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) such as: Enterprise Architects, Data Base Administrators (DBA), Systems Administrators (SA), Network Engineers, Software Engineers, Analyst, Testers, etc. The different SME’s have a work mentality that sometimes differs from each other. For example, software engineers may think differently than a DBA when it comes to working with others outside of their subject matter. There are multiple ways to manage the IT stafff in Information Technology. But the focus of this point will be based on a management technique that is geared towards the Work Mentality of the Subject Matter Expert (SME). We refer to this technique as Technology Employee Administrative Mentality (TEAM). The meaning of TEAM is simply, the technical mentality and behavior of an individual employee from different disciplines within the technology field. People in the Information Technology field often times work in silos. Generally speaking, they concern themselves with the piece of work that they are working on, they are somewhat of a technical introvert. Then there are others that think that they are smarter than everyone because of the nature of their job. Also, you have those who think that they are devalued because of their job function and feel as if they must have to over emphasize the importance of their job. It is important that when managing different types of SME’s that one takes into consideration that the psyche of the SME’s can differ and understand why. TEAM is a concept and approach that can help management get the best performance from out of their SME’s to support the over all function of the business. This concept can be very instrumental in building strong successful teams!!!
