The role of valves as a part of the process is important in many ways. While accurate flow control has a direct impact on the quality of the end products, perhaps more importantly the right valve selection can help improve the efficiency and sustainability of the process itself significantly. This of course also means creating savings and lowering overall costs. Valves, especially when paired with intelligent control and increased levels of automation, can make a real difference. Driving complex projects to operational & financial success | Data Analytics Professional | Project Management Professional (PMP)® | Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)® | I&C Senior Engineer, BSc. MSc.
PCP systems boast unique design features and operational advantages, making them suitable for diverse applications: - High overall system energy efficiency, typically ranging from 55 to 75%. - Capability to handle high concentrations of sand or other solids. - Tolerance for high percentages of free gas. - Absence of valves or reciprocating parts susceptible to clogging, gas locking, or wear. - Excellent resistance to abrasion. Nevertheless, PCP systems have limitations and special considerations: - Limited production rates, with a maximum of 800 m3/d (5,040 B/D) in large-diameter pumps. - Restricted lift capacity, reaching a maximum of 3000 m (9,840 ft). - Limited temperature capability, with routine use up to 100°C (212°F) and potential use up to 180°C (350°F) with special elastomers. - Sensitivity to fluid environment, as the stator elastomer may swell or deteriorate in certain fluids. - Vulnerability to low volumetric efficiency in wells producing significant gas volumes. Many of these limitations are evolving or being mitigated with advancements in products, materials, and equipment design. When configured and operated correctly in suitable applications, PCP systems currently offer a highly efficient and economical artificial lift solution. The PCP system incorporates a crucial component – the controller. This device provides control and visibility, maximizing production by enhancing equipment uptime and protection. The Instruct P30 PCP controller, known as Kudu Well Manager, has proven successful as a well manager for PCPs. Overall productivity is enhanced by eliminating the need for continuous fluid level monitoring. Please join us in this technical discussion. Sensia Global, SLB

Tagging Electrical Equipment is not as straightforward as it might seem; improper tags management can lead to inconsistencies, confusions, contingency cost, and even safety risks. The key challenge lies in maintaining the uniqueness of tags and meeting inheritance requirements. For instance, a starter's name inherits the tag of the motor it powers, and the tag of a power cable reflects the equipment tags at both ends of the cable. Projects may impose numerous conditions and specific guidelines for tagging electrical equipment that must be followed. Smart®Electrical comes equipped with a configuration mechanism for naming conventions, reinforced by filters, rules and automation layer. This offers an efficient solution to automate the tagging workflow regardless of its complexity. Everyone Electrify ! Hexagon Asset Lifecycle Intelligence
