Welcome to our new Head of Marketing, Amy Moore!
Amy has held key roles at Sage Intacct and SAP Ariba, and later was promoted up to VP Brand & Content at Tradeshift, where she grew the brand as the business scaled 30x to $1B ARR. Most recently, she built the Marketing function from the ground up at Trace, a workforce planning company later acquired by Paylocity.
Amy comes to Vareto with a passionate belief that Finance software can and should be powerful, enjoyable, and intuitive. She plans to grow our marketing function with an emphasis on creating an excellent buying journey, driven by her philosophy that if you put the customer first, you can never go wrong.
The amount of available software that you could leverage to build a service-based business is incredible, and also overwhelming.
I was having a conversation with my sister Emily Levitt yesterday.
She explained to me what she's working on at Reckitt in implementing SAP this year.
I talked about what I'm doing with Shopify and Klaviyo primarily. Of course, many different SaaS apps as part of that.
But she said something that made me think.
"What is Klaviyo?"
It's a now publicly traded company with ~2k employees. But, it operates in a somewhat niche world of owned marketing (email/SMS/push notifications/data) with a particular focus in ecommerce (primarily up to this point).
So, yeah, a lot of people wouldn't know what it is.
It made me realize that there have to be so many large companies that provide software which other businesses build their revenue on. How many service-based businesses like mine operate in digital marketing in some capacity, but have nothing to do with anything ecommerce that I deal with on a day-to-day basis?
The answer is (probably): a lot.
It makes me think that there are just so many opportunities out there for growing what we do at Zettler Digital every day.
Do you only know your customers "on paper?"
Ken Demma was my first interview for my new SubStack newsletter called SaaS Storytelling.
It's short, sweet & stacked with value.
When's the last time you spent time with customers face-to-face?
Have you ever?
If you feel like your marketing is ineffective.
Or you're stuck in the ivory tower.
Ken shares his experiences for getting out of it and doing work that actually matters in marketing.
How he did it at:
- SAP
- American Express
- Fidelity
- AWS
And so much more.

Shoutout to those leading advertising & marketing agencies out there today.
From managing their own internal operations and the technology supporting their business, while also helping clients navigate through the use of new digital platforms to support a seamless customer experience, agencies are flying the plane while simultaneously fixing it.
Throw in,
- Economic uncertainties
- Surge of agency reviews as brands seek improved value and service
- Attracting and retaining top talent
and you get a sense of how many moving parts that have to be managed on a daily basis.
To avoid playing catch-up and rather capitalize on what's to come next, agencies look to NetSuite to help manage both financials and project management functions to have an accurate snap shot of their business.
We were recently joined by our customer, Goodway Group, who shared their story on how they use NetSuite to help achieve their goal of making their clients heroes.
If you'd like to learn more, feel free to reach out and happy to share.

Sometimes things blow up, sometimes they blow up in your face.
Colby Bauer at Thread® once told me we gave them their WORST September (inventory issues) and their BEST 4th quarter. Chris Livingston had to pause their Gravel ads at least twice when they ran out of inventory. Ben Perkins could probably share some inventory woes that we caused, and Jeff Durham didn't want to do a campaign for Gimme Beauty until he could get an accurate forecast of what a Creatably campaign might do.
I know, that is a lot of humble bragging in one paragraph. But if you have a fast-growing brand, sometimes growth can kill you. So naturally working with Luminous is a natural fit for us (so natural, that we are using it at our house brands).
Jared Ward is my favorite type of founder. Someone who felt a real pain at his company, and rather than complain about it, he solved it for all of us. Right now your options are somewhere between janky Shopify plug-ins and a bloated and expensive Netsuite (aka Net-not-so-sweet). Jared created a cinderella slipper that solves the data-connected pains of fast-growing brands. It's clear, it's easy, and CUSTOM implementation is TOTALLY FREE.
Give Luminous a call, or better yet, click on the video, watch the whole thing THEN give them a call. They have solved so many headaches for us, I bet they can help you too.
Thank you Jared for trusting us with your brand. We hope to create inventory problems for you too.
P.S. I guess we are in the B2B business now too. If you don't want AI garbage leads, we can tell you how our video drove cheap leads and quintupled our sales force.
Founder & CEO | Luminous | Building The ERP For Modern Ecommerce
I’m PUMPED to finally launch our latest advertisement that we worked on with Creatably
Our goal here? Make ERP and Inventory Management fun, relatable, and sexy for maybe the first time…ever.
We believe that massive conglomerates like Netsuite are out of touch with modern e-commerce companies. We are not another nameless, faceless, legacy ERP.
I would LOVE if you guys can share this video to support the brand of Luminous and send to anyone who might want a laugh, or would find a solution like Luminous something they would consider.
Support Utah businesses!
Enjoy!
