At its core, an LLM OS is a natural language layer between humans and computational resources. But describing it that way barely scratches the surface. It’s akin to calling the internet “a way to share documents.” Technically true, but missing the point entirely. Traditional operating systems provide a file system, process management, and a graphical interface. An LLM OS, however, offers something far more profound: it enables you to express what you want in plain language and translates that intent into specific computer operations. Instead of learning to navigate complex software, you simply describe your goal, and the system interprets it for you.

The evolution of Large Language Model (LLM) applications marks a significant technological advancement. It begins with straightforward Q&A applications, laying the foundation for more complex systems. Adding in-session memory elevates these into interactive Chat-Bots, capable of maintaining context within a conversation. Progressing further, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) Bots incorporate extensive context awareness, establishing guardrails to prevent LLM hallucinations and ensuring reliable outputs. The development continues with LLM Agents, which transcend mere text generation to execute actions, paving the way for dynamic interactions. At the pinnacle of this technological pyramid stands the LLM Operating System (OS), poised to revolutionize our computing experience by integrating these intelligent capabilities at the core of future computers

Did you know about that? 💳 I also found that it is not intended to be a cryptographically secure hash function; it was designed to protect against accidental errors, not malicious attacks. Most credit cards and many government identification numbers use the algorithm as a simple method of distinguishing valid numbers from mistyped or otherwise incorrect numbers.
Luhn’ algorithm (named after its creator, the German IBM scientist Hans Peter Luhn) for checking the validity of identification numbers (like credit card numbers). Simple, elegant, awesome. 😎 (ps: Luhn did not receive the deserved recognition for his numerous contributions to information science) #algorithms

Are you looking for innovative ways to use LLM-based agent(s) to use a computer? "Building Towards Computer Use with Anthropic" introduces an innovative capability from Anthropic that enables models to interact with and navigate computer interfaces. Like a human user, the model processes an image of the screen, analyzes it to understand what’s going on, and navigates the computer by issuing mouse clicks and generating keyboard strokes to get things done. What can you do with this tool? *Retrieve Data *Query Databases *Interact with APIs *Execute Code *Search the web *Control a (your) computer! The course is only 1h35m & taught by Anthropic own Head of Curriculum Colt Steele. Course is brought to us by DeepLearning.AI and Andrew Ng The link is: https://lnkd.in/eHpADTuE Course is FREE and sign-up only requires your EMAIL.

OpenAI has recently launched its latest model, o1, which brings notable improvements in reasoning capabilities, achieving PhD-level accuracy in fields like physics, biology, and chemistry. The model comes in two variants: • o1-preview: optimized for top-tier performance • o1-mini: a more affordable option, ideal for coding tasks However, it’s almost 6x more expensive and 4x slower than the GPT-4o model. Currently, access is limited to ChatGPT Plus and Team users, but OpenAI plans to broaden availability soon. https://lnkd.in/gPw4f9HT #AI #MachineLearning #OpenAI #ArtificialIntelligence #TechInnovation #DataScience
