It’s THAT #MSKMonday – I know you all trust me to be your eyes and ears at #AAOS2024 for innovation and so I couldn’t disappoint. I am pleased to share my weightiest ortho conferences blog to date, with a TL;DR section for those who don’t tolerate my prose (but feel free to skim through for the companies, I bolded them all to make it easy for you). It was both, in some ways, another year of incremental innovation, and in others, a true feeling that the earth is shifting under us in terms of #AI capabilities. What I don’t have a chance to address – but am always happy to brainstorm if you just give us a call is – in a world where most (maybe even all) surgeries will be at an ASC, with smaller reimbursements, where we have no idea the direction of value based care models (bye bye CCJR?), and yet where enabling technologies are encircling every corner of MSK, how does the business model have to evolve? What strategies will carry us forward into the digital age in ortho? This morning, I looked back at where Intuitive started and marveled at how far we’ve come, in no small part due to the close and collaborative relationships we have with our customers.
