Eversheds Energy Connect Conferences are always interesting. The presentations after coffee are looking at how the different offices of the firm are working in their local markets - the governments in each geography have all developed different energy policies and we need to respond accordingly. How I plan to be 1 step closer to the American Energy Market ,  and I want to meet you there… In just a few days, I will be returning to the USA for the third time this year. And I couldn’t be more excited! 👉 From the 9th to the 12th, I'll be at the RE+ fair in Anaheim. (California, what a wonderful state—I truly love it. Any tips or suggestions?) The days ahead will be packed: →Dealing with jet lag →Managing a heavy workload → Dealing with different food and habits → Meeting countless people in the solar business → Experiencing a major trade fair in the energy industry But none of this intimidates me; in fact, it fuels my energy. I'm getting better at managing the workload, handling pressure, navigating different cultural approaches, and tackling the countless things to study and learn. Every experience, every person I've met, every product analyzed, and every customer I've assisted has enriched my professional journey, and for that, I am deeply grateful.   🌍 Curious where PUSH-IT is active in Europe?   PUSH-IT focusses on advancing three innovative technologies for underground high-temperature heat storage: Aquifer Thermal Energy Storage (ATES), Borehole Thermal Energy Storage (BTES) and Mine Thermal Energy Storage (MTES). The project will demonstrate the implementation of these technologies at six different sites: The first three demo-sites are: 🇳🇱 Delft - ATES 🇩🇪 Darmstadt - BTES 🇩🇪 Bochum - MTES In addition to the demo-sites, there are three ‘follower’ locations for future pilots: 🇩🇪 Berlin - ATES 🇨🇿 Litomĕřice - BTES 🇬🇧 United Downs - MTES   At each site, we address specific local technical and societal challenges while actively engaging local stakeholders. Our goal? To transform our findings into scalable solutions that benefit heat storage systems across Europe. On Wednesday, the U.S. Department of Energy's Water Power Technologies Office released a Notice of Intent for a $112.5 million opportunity, establishing a multi-year funding program titled Oceans of Opportunity. Yesterday, in addition to the money flowing into water power, Representatives Nanette Barragán (D-CA) and Suzanne Bonamici (D-OR) introduced the Marine Energy Technologies Acceleration Act – a potential $1 billion investment in the advancement of marine energy technologies. - Oceans of Opportunity: The full opportunity is meant to come out in September of 2024.
