Making time for effective reference checks during interviews can be critical to finding the right person and avoiding a bad fit. Even if you're expecting it to be padded for glowing reviews, you'll want to check their references. Since you've been invited to speak with these references, we recommend asking some really thoughtful & challenging questions to understand your candidate as much as possible. While there're no guarantees you'll get to know every part of your prospect, you can increase your chances. If you want to get further into making the most of your #hiring process, check out our #blog, "Employer Reference Checks in Interviews", to get into the right questions to ask, navigating legalities, and a few other tips. Some simple but essential tips for interviewers to help make interviews more Neurodivergent friendly!
One super easy simple way to make your interviews neurodivergent friendly. 1️⃣ After working at Grow and Achieve for the past few months, I’ve really reflected on my recruitment knowledge and how things typically go when it comes to interviews and candidate drop outs. It can be really stressful for anyone to interview – but those with neurodivergent qualities take that stress a little harder So one really easy way to help ANYONE with interviewing : Outlining an ITENARY and sticking to it. Essentially, send them information ahead of time 💡An address 💡A date and time (and stick to it) 💡A name of who to ask for 💡Advice on how to find them, how to park 💡And if you can, send them the questions ahead of time The more information you can give someone before they meet you, the better they can manage their own expectations and nerves. One simple email with the above information – that’s it. Honestly, it doesn’t have to be difficult to support a diverse and inclusive community. You’ll end up widening your reach and applications dramatically. Hope this helps! -------- Anything else you’d add? #DisabilityConfident #Neurodiverse #Inclusion #Diversity #InclusionAndDiversity #DiversityAndInclusion #JobsCheshire #JobsStaffordshire #StaffordshireJobs #CheshireJobs #GrowAndAchieve

WHAT ARE WE DOING HERE? The best way to put off a candidate from joining you is to put the wrong people in the interview. 😲 Sounds blindingly obvious but it happens too often. ✔️Only put the correct people in the interview. ✔️Make sure they are trained to interview. ✔️Make sure they are prompt and prepped. Remember: It’s not only the candidate who is being interviewed. 🧐 Are you struggling to hire? #recruit #candidates #hiring #intervieiwng #jobs

A question to all Recruiters, Hiring Managers and anyone that assists in completing interviews: Would you like to know how a candidate felt about their interview? I would include those that were hired or declined a role. Candidates like to know their feedback, both good or bad. It's how a candidate makes improvements for future interviews. If utilized correctly it could be a good way to strengthen a teams interview skills.

Recruiters tend to offer interview advice to candidates to support them during the process but as a client do you ever receive interview advice from your recruiter? 🤔 For some hiring managers, it can be just as daunting to interview someone and know the approaches to take etc especially when this candidate is spot on for the role ✨ We offer advice, guides, even role play for anyone lacking confidence in this area or even if you haven’t interviewed someone for a while and feel a little rusty 😊 #recruitment #hiring #interviewing

A solid interview process will provide you much more success than any list of benefits can... I'm working with a client currently who have their ducks in a row. Here's what they do: - Interview slots booked in the diary for each interviewer, each week. - Feedback following interviews within 24hrs. - Weekly call with myself to align on what they want to see more/less of. - Short 2-stage process with all key hiring managers present. Do you need more stages to assess suitability? Probably not. Do you need to move quickly to ensure candidate engagement? 100% Ultimately, you're either hiring or you're not - if you are, do it with intent💪. Does this sound like your current process? Let me know what works for you. #hiring #interviews

I know I have spoke about this before, but I will continue to state it as long as I work in recruitment! In talent acquisition, it's crucial for candidates to showcase their best selves during interviews. While connecting with the interviewer is valuable, maintaining professionalism is key. Remember to engage, discuss your skills thoroughly, and express enthusiasm for the role. Avoid speaking negatively about current or past employers and refrain from mentioning disinterest in the position. Recruiters aim to support you, but your interview matters. Let's work together for your success! #TalentAcquisition #InterviewTips
