Defaulting to more closers isn’t the immediate solution to meeting your revenue goals. Most are better off hiring an EA for an incredible salesperson than you are just hiring another rep. Just because you add more quota doesn’t mean you’ll book more revenue. Think about what infrastructure you can put in place for you and your awesome salesperson to close 3X the amount of deals — instead of adding rows to your bottoms up 2024 plan.

No matter who you are selling to in sponsorships, the brand has to justify the spend. How is it going to increase the value of their business? So how do we find out what that justification is? Ask. 'What got you intrigued in sponsoring our team?' 'What is the biggest hurdle your business has to getting growth?' If you dive in deep enough, they will tell you. Then you build a package around it. For example, 'We just can't hire technicians, I will even train them...but we can't find them.' The solution in the package, a Suite Night for anyone interested in switching jobs (would need to think through a qualifier). So when asked 'Why do you sponsor this team?'. They answer with 'It's the best applicant pipeline we've ever had.' That is justification. That keeps them buying. That turns them into a promoter. We don't sell signage, we sell outcomes. Outcomes justify spend.
