ATTENTION former #KellyMoore Kelly-Moore Paints Employees Seeking Employment!!!! Since Kelly-Moore Paints closed last week I have received scores of questions (and comments!) from former employees of the brand. THE most common among them: "Do you know anyone hiring?" Also reaching out last week were two paint companies who when they noticed the sudden #KellyMoore following I had developed were wondering if I knew anyone looking for work. So allow me to make an introduction! Lisa Kudukis at Dunn-Edwards Corporation tells me that her company is hiring AND looking to expand into markets formerly served by Kelly-Moore. Dunn-Edwards is hiring for "All positions in Northern California stores: in-store and outside sales, architectural reps, dealer reps, delivery drivers, etc." You can reach Lisa via her profile here or via her email: lisa.kudukis@dunnedwards.com. I have sent several people Lisa's way and they are getting interviews and I'm also aware of several former K-M's who have already accepted jobs at Dunn. Brad Gisolo at Rodda Paint Co was also in touch and his company is also looking to hire. Even more interesting, Rodda Paint Co is willing to pay to relocate any K-M paint professionals interested in moving to areas in the PNW where they currently have needs. I thought about giving him my own resume! You can reach Brad via his profile here or his email: bgisolo@roddapaint.com or send your resume to careers@roddapaint.com. I'm also aware that many independent paint dealers are hiring and while there is no central point of contact, calling your local paint store and asking if they're hiring would likely yield results. DISCLOSURE: I am aware of both Dunn-Edwards Corporation and Rodda Paint Co by reputation only, I have had no prior dealings with either company. Additionally I received no compensation for creating this post, with the exception of Lisa's promise of a cigar for each person my post helps them hire. Let's hope Brad takes THE hint!

Genuinely curious. I can understand why not to put someone's full address on a resume (safety/privacy reasons?). What I don't understand is why some people don't even include city and state (e.g. Middletown, New Jersey) on their resume? If you're applying for a merchandising position that requires some days on site, the recruiter will be looking for where you live. By not including that, they will need to reach out and ask you, or skip the extra step and pass onto other resumes that provided the information upfront. What are some reasons you think people don't include city and state when applying for on site merchandising positions? #recruiting #recruiter #merchandising #productdevelopment #sales #design #resumereview #artisan34 #newjersey #middletown #hiring #hiringnj

Why would you hire mannequins, clothes rails or steamers? 💲It's cost-effective: only pay for the product for the time you need it, no large upfront cost of buying a product that you don't need long term 〰️It's flexible: hire a product for as little as 1 day 😩It's hassle-free: we offer delivery or collection from HQ 📦No need to store it: if you only attend exhibitions twice and year, hiring saves you the headache of finding storage space Think hiring might be the solution for you? How to know when an architect was onsite... 😂 👞 If you want to stick out like a sore thumb on a job site, do these 5 things: 1) Wear dress clothes. 2) Wear Calvin Klein shoes. 3) Wear a spotless white hard hat. 4) Walk around with an iPad in hand. 5) Point at everything being built. 😂 All jokes aside... If you want to connect and engage with your field, dress like you belong on a jobsite. Throw on some Carhartt Put on some jeans Run your hardhat in some dirt Put on some work boots (not Calvin Klein) You'll have an easier time connecting with your team. It may seem like a low-priority but the field will love it. More than you think. #construction #hammr
