One thing I didn't point out with this story I posted yesterday is that Chick-fil-A tied Texas Roadhouse in "service" and beat out Ruth's Chris on "experience" to sit atop both of those categories. This is consumer perceptions across 500 brands, ranging from fine dining to casual to fast casual. CFA also nearly won "food quality." Never fails to amaze. Leadership Colorado Discovers the Secret Ingredient in Snooze, an A.M. Eatery’s Delicious Food: This week, Leadership Colorado participants met at Snooze, an A.M. Eatery’s Denver headquarters to learn about the restaurant industry, which accounts for 10% of our state’s workforce and adds $426 million in state sales tax to the Colorado economy. With seventy successful restaurants in nine states, the cohort learned about Snooze’s core values from Brianna Borin (Chief People and Culture Officer), Jeremy Edmonds (VP of People and Culture), and were lead in a workshop to determine each person’s top core value that guides them in their career and life. Participants spent time in “El Jefe’s,” Snooze HQ’s test kitchen, where each person got to develop their own pancake with delicious filling and topping options. The program concluded with a panel discussion featuring David Birzon (CEO) and Bill Long (President and CFO), along with Brianna and Jeremy, to discuss how to protect and grow your culture, changes in the restaurant industry post-Covid, and the regulatory hurdles of doing business in Colorado versus some of their restaurant locations in other states.
