All May 2024 intermediate students, please start looking for IT and OC batches now because some batches start immediately after exams. This way, you can complete all the training before the results are out. Registration for the such batches often closes before exams begin. I managed to complete IT OC on time by doing this. (Just clarifying you can book other batches as well, but they will usually start after some weeks) I have seen many people fail to get the best offers just because they were not able to complete their training on time. So, it is better if you take out a few minutes and ensure that the training is sorted too. Just some advice.

Not every learner comes to vocational education and training with the underpinning knowledge of how to properly unpack assessment tasks to know what to do. And sometimes, VET assessments contain so much information, learners struggle to sort through it all; often resulting in stress, anxiety and frequently, submitted work that doesn't meet requirements. As a trainer/assessor, this then increases your own workload - and, while you can't necessarily change the assessment tasks, there are a number of things you can do to help learners understand what is required of them. Join this session for a variety of teaching and learning strategies which will: 👉 Show how to help learners cut through excess information in assessment instruments that is confusing 👉 Help your learners ‘crack the code’ of complex assessment tasks 👉 Help your learners to properly know what the assessment is asking so they understand what to do and have a better chance of being successful in their assessment attempts Register you/your team for the single session: https://lnkd.in/edZwgK4m Register as part of the 2-session series on learner-centric assessment approaches which increase student success with assessments: https://lnkd.in/e_9_H7_9 #SkillsEducation #assessment #vet #studentsupport #vetpd #crackthecode

We have received this question frequently, so we have come up with some answers, we are here to help! The Inventory of Good Learner Repertoire is a protocol designed to assess the best way to teach our learners, taking into account factors such as their learning styles, reliance on support, and even resilience (Ward, 2008). When it comes to choosing, remember - it's the student who determines which strategy and procedures to use, not you! The Level 1 course will teach you how to score the IGLR, select goals, build learner readiness, focus, perseverance and thoughtful responding and it’s suited for beginners and intermediate learners. The advanced level is suitable for more advanced learners who may have spiky profiles and require bespoke goals to build skills in different developmental areas. Both courses address prompt dependence, confirmation and unnecessary supports. We hope this clarifies things! For more information on each level, you can check out our courses.
