Meet Aaron Nash, our Tool Setter. Aaron has been part of the team for 6 years and is a real asset to the business, bringing a tonne of knowledge and even more laughter to our shop floor. We asked him a few questions about his role, how he finds working at Vestatec, and a couple of questions about life outside of work. This is how he responded… For someone who doesn’t know what a tool setter does, please explain your role and what an average day looks like. “I’ve got the responsibility for mounting, aligning, securing and putting the right programme into the production press and making the relevant adjustments needed to make a safe, secure and smooth production run. I also do a lot of operating, which involves checking the blanks for blemishes or flaws, and then putting them through the press machine.” Where do you see yourself in 5 years? “Can I say retired on a beach? Alternatively, I would like to progress into a management role. I enjoy working at Vestatec, so would like to pursue opportunities that would allow me to move up within the company.” Tell us one fun fact about you. “I love to make people laugh. That’s one of the best things about working on the shop floor, we have a great team and it’s a really positive environment to come into every day.” What is your biggest achievement? “My family. No doubt. Raising my three children with my wife and watching them learn and grow is incredibly rewarding.” #MeetTheTeam #ToolSetter #ShopFloor #Automotive #CareerProgression
