Battles We Fight: A Story of Inner and Outer Wars Every day, we wake up to different kinds of battles—some we see, and some we don’t. A battle within ourselves, where our doubts and fears clash with our courage and dreams. This is the quietest war, fought in whispers and long silences, yet it’s often the most intense. A battle with the world around us, as we try to make our place in a crowd that often wants us to blend in. These are the battles that test our resilience against the expectations and judgments of others, pushing us to prove who we are. And a battle with our own ambitions, where our goals pull us toward success while challenging us to stay true to ourselves. As our minds grow sharper and more focused, we think strategically, sometimes sacrificing peace for the thrill of achievement. In this world, these battles define us—shaping our thoughts, inspiring our actions, and setting us on a path we might never have imagined. It’s not just about winning or losing; it’s about understanding why we fight and finding meaning in every step of the journey.

I've just finished reading the madly popular book "The Art Of War." Here are my thoughts and how you can apply these thousand year old teachings to your life. 1. The Importance of Strategy Do your research and plan things accordingly. “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles.” 2. Embrace Adaptability Success depends on your ability to adapt to shifting circumstances. “Be extremely subtle, even to the point of formlessness. Be extremely mysterious, even to the point of soundlessness.” 3. The Element of Deception Appearances can be deceiving. You can position yourself in certain ways that is beneficial to you. “All warfare is based on deception.” 4. Avoid Prolonged Conflict Spending a large amount of time on something depletes your resources and wastes your time. “In war, let your great object be victory, not lengthy campaigns.” 5. The Role of Preperation Success is determined before any action is taken, the one who wins is predetermined. “Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win.” Let me know if you have any other thoughts in the comments ↓

Here is the video illustrating my poem, "Old Glory".
"Old Glory" should grab every American's heart ... as it is a constant, proud ... reminder of an ... iconic flag ... cherished by every generation of our beloved USA ... since July 4, 1776!
