On the other hand, 𝐏𝐚𝐲𝐭𝐦 is still a leader in 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐛𝐨𝐱, having deployed 10 million 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐛𝐨𝐱𝐬. However, 𝐑𝐁𝐈'𝐬 𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐚𝐧 on 𝐏𝐚𝐲𝐭𝐦 𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐤, which threatens to lose ₹300 to ₹500 crores in revenue, is putting pressure on the company. 𝐑𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐬 like 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐏𝐞, 𝐁𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐲, and even 𝐛𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐇𝐃𝐅𝐂 have already started to lure their merchants. SIBS was present at the Impact'24 with the participation of Teresa Mesquita, Chief Marketing and Product Office at SIBS, in a panel about the prospects for building a European payments ecosystem. 💳 🌎 This international event brings together leaders from different sectors to discuss pressing issues, share innovative solutions and collaborate on projects aimed at sustainable development and fostering a positive social and environmental impact on society. 🌱 During the panel discussion, Teresa presented EuroPA, the interoperability project that SIBS is developing together with Bizum (Spain) and Bancomat Pay (Italy), which aims to allow users to make instant payments more easily and securely between the three countries using only cell phones. Mass mobility and technology must improve their simbiosis. In order to create more clean and efficent cities we need to adapt public sector to faster, secure and dinamic payment methods and controls. The more we improve, the faster we allow transit to flow. This has direct impact on pasangers daily transfers, cities flow and economy and tourist improved citi experience. Biometrical evolution, close and open loop architecture, payments methods, online tickeitng, inveded marketing and security are just some of the tools to have the cities of the future.
🚌 Getnet continues to drive public #transport innovation in Madrid. EMT Madrid and Banco Santander, through #Getnet, have reaffirmed their commitment to sustainable and accessible #mobility by renewing their contract for card and mobile payments on the Madrid bus fleet. This public-private partnership, which began in 2018, is now extended for another 3 years. The comprehensive payment platform developed by Getnet has made it easier for millions of citizens and tourists enjoying Madrid's #EMT services to access them using financial cards, eliminating the inconvenience of cash payments in #buses and other services such as #Bicimad, the #Madrid Cable Car, parking lots, and municipal towing services. The Ayuntamiento de Madrid and EMT, together with Getnet and Banco Santander, were pioneers in #Europe in implementing this payment solution. We would like to thank them for their renewed trust in this agreement, which reinforces the path towards a more agile and accessible urban transport experience that improves the lives of citizens.
