In this video, Lauren gives some background about The New Norm and how the company got its start by seeing a need to repurpose plastic cups. Drake’s role is taking those cups and doing what we do best— turning them into fibers. From there, The New Norm uses those fibers to 3D knit their pieces. While we produce over 65 million pounds of staple fiber and 20 million pounds of filament fiber per year, our customers know that their fibers are made to order just for them. For more sustainability in the textile care industry ✅ At this year’s Texprocess, the German company VEIT Group received a Texprocess Innovation Award in the "Economic Quality" category for its patented "CF20 DesFin" compact finisher. The new device removes odours, mould, stains and pathogens from garments – without any chemicals. The manufacturer of ironing boards, fusing and laminating machines developed the compact finisher together with the wfk - Cleaning Technology Institute e.V. With their new appliance, clothing from returns or goods transported over long distances by ship can be disinfected, deodorised and ironed at the same time. Veit counts brands such as HUGO BOSS and Zara among its customers.
