Giving Tuesday 💙 It was Giving Tuesday yesterday, an awareness date and a global generosity movement that celebrates and encourages doing good. There is a lack of empathy in the world, and we all need more compassion and connection in our lives. On their website there are numerous examples of how individuals and communities across the globe are actively using generosity for positive change, such as creative community gardens or care-mongering. But giving can also be on a smaller, everyday scale. Thinking about all the things that we like to receive such as love, gratitude, support, laughter, help etc., how can we give these to those around us – our colleagues, friends, children, parents. Small actions can make a big difference, and we may even find that the giving is reciprocated. #GivingTuesday #giving #gift #support #communication #conversation #mentalhealth #empathy #generosity #positivity #awareness #gratitude #connection

🍂The season of giving is quickly approaching, so why not get a head start? Performing kind deeds is a great way to help others and make yourself feel good. Here are five ideas to help you get started: 1) Offer to rake a neighbor's leaves. 2) Go on a clean-up nature walk. 3) Write an encouraging note to a loved one. 4) Help out at your local community center. 5) Drop off food at a food pantry. Now is a great time to show others you care. These simple acts of kindness can go a long way in the eyes of others, and they can make you feel good, too. 🍁 #FallKindness #GiveBack #SeasonOfGratitude

How Do You Raise a Kind Human in Today’s World? 💞🌍 One day at the grocery store, a young boy noticed an elderly woman struggling to load her bags into her car. Without hesitation, he turned to his mother and asked, “Can I help her?” His mother nodded, and the boy ran over to assist. The woman smiled warmly and said, “You’ve raised a good one.” It was a small moment, but it spoke volumes. This wasn’t an accident. This child was being raised in a home where kindness was nurtured daily, not through lectures but through simple, meaningful actions. A few years earlier, his mother had decided that kindness would be as important as academics or sports. She believed the world didn’t just need smart kids—it needed compassionate ones. So, she started weaving lessons of empathy into their everyday lives: 🎈 Dinner Table Conversations: Every evening, she’d pose a question like, “What would you do if you saw someone sitting alone at lunch?” The answers sparked thoughtful discussions and helped her son see life from other perspectives. 🎁 Family Kindness Projects: Sundays became their “kindness day,” where they baked cookies for neighbors, donated toys, or wrote thank-you cards. These activities weren’t just fun—they created lasting habits. 📖 Stories That Teach: Bedtime was a chance to read stories about heroes who used kindness to overcome challenges. They’d talk about the lessons in each story, making them relatable and real. Over time, the results were clear. This little boy held doors open for strangers, stood up for a friend being teased, and even saved part of his allowance to buy treats for stray dogs. 💡 The Bigger Picture: Raising kind humans doesn’t require grand gestures. It’s about small, consistent efforts to model and encourage compassion. In a world that can often feel disconnected, these lessons make all the difference. 👉 Let’s create more moments like this! If this story inspired you, like, comment, and share it. Together, we can raise a generation that leads with empathy and kindness 🌟✨. #abkidslifecoach #amitbatra #happyparentshub #teachingempathy #kindnessmatters #raisingkindkids #parentingjourney #mindfulparenting #parentingtips

A great article that explores the practical question of how, when, and WHY to give to neighbors in our day-to-day lives.
"I came to the YMCA to do a good deed: a clean, convenient one, unattached to human hands and faces. But I see now that God has invited me to something different." One giver shares her story of "foolish generosity," in which she ponders the question, "When someone asks me for money, should I give?" #generosity #giving #giveback
