Great interview soundbite from Bridge The Gap The Senior Living Podcast and Charles Mann with Accushield® talking about the importance of leveraging volunteers to connect with seniors. When we think about value-based care, we have to think about whole-person care, including tackling factors like isolation and loneliness. Research has shown that loneliness is as bad for people's health as smoking 15 cigarettes a day. How can we help our seniors live happy, healthier lives? The answer is complex. Leveraging resources we already have, like our volunteer base, is a great way to start. 👏
Accushield® is bridging the gap between generations with 1.4 million volunteers in the system! Join Charles Mann, Founder and CSO, as he delves into Project Love Meter and how it’s positively impacting communities. https://lnkd.in/dKjgFwTF Sponsored by Accushield®, Aline, NIC MAP Vision, Procare HR, Hamilton CapTel, ServiceMaster Recovery Management - North America , Patriot Angels, THE BRIDGE GROUP CONSTRUCTION, INC and Solinity.

What we do: Partner 🤝 with communities to improve resilience Our Coastal Community Resilience Team, in partnership with the City of Corpus Christi, Harte Research Institute, and Halff, recently facilitated a Coastal Community Resilience Index (CRI) workshop with Corpus Christi, Texas. Over 20 participants including city planning, public works, coastal and emergency management, local utilities, business, industry, and regional planning discussed community successes and identified vulnerabilities. In an innovative approach to enhance these resilience discussions, the project team used the Geospatial Resilient Economic Development (GeoRED) mapping tool during the workshop to help participants visualize risks to critical infrastructure, government buildings, and roads. This was the first workshop paring the CRI and GeoRED tools. Participants also outlined areas for future action in the short- and long-term such as work with local businesses, staff training, planning, and upgrades to city infrastructure. In the next phase of this project, the community will implement a resilience project selected by the city. This project is funded by Gulf Star partner CITGO. #GoodfortheGulf #GulfofMexico

We enjoyed the opportunity to participate on a panel at the What’s Up Down South economic summit in southern Utah today! Panel participants included Danny Stewart and Lynne Mayer from our team, alongside Jen Wakeland, who is the director of strategic development director for Beaver County. During the panel we discussed how we synergize with local communities to create a hub for collaboration, innovation, and growth designed to facilitate global connectivity and streamline business operations. We highlighted three project areas of significance for southern Utah: 1) The Mineral Mountain Project area, which will optimize transportation assets, energy and mining resources, and other key factors to develop new primary employment opportunities in Beaver 2) The Iron Springs Project Area, which will serve southwestern Utah with two transloading facilities and the creation of a 725-acre rail-served industrial park for new business development.

There’s still time to take Pima Association of Governments’ “Shape Your Transportation Future” survey, which allows community members in the greater Tucson region to share their transportation priorities and experiences, and to tell us what types of transportation improvements should be funded over the next 30 years. Survey results will help in the development of PAG’s 2055 Regional Mobility and Accessibility Plan (RMAP), which allows our region to annually secure millions of dollars in federal funding for essential transportation improvements in the region. Your input matters to us. Learn more and take the survey at PAGregion.com/2055
