It was great to meet with Hon Simon Bridges, Chief Executive of the Auckland Business Chamber to discuss the opportunity to grow Auckland's health technology sector. Roche is renowned for partnering with the brightest minds in science and healthcare so we can enable health systems to focus on effectively and sustainably meeting the needs of patients and to make decisions that support greater equity of access to healthcare. Insights from health data can provide us with a deeper understanding of a disease that can make earlier and more accurate diagnosis possible for patients. They can drive the development of personalised treatments informed by an understanding of patients’ preferences and the outcomes that matter most to them. At the care level, they enable evidence-based clinical decision-making to give patients the best chance of a positive outcome. Data captured through remote digital monitoring could be used to predict disease and identify signs of disease progression earlier, leading to more rapid and appropriate treatment decisions. We believe New Zealand has an opportunity to position itself as a global leader in healthcare and that Auckland's Health Technology sector can become an even better place for the industry to thrive. The Auckland Tech Council recently published a roadmap to Auckland becoming a HealthTech hub which you can find here: https://lnkd.in/gfeFzAKA

According to the latest report from the World Economic Forum, the collaboration between public and private sectors is crucial in advancing HealthTech globally. Currently, only 15-20% of healthcare initiatives involve private sector leaders, highlighting a significant gap in leveraging digital health’s full potential. Partnerships initiated by public agencies, multilateral organisations, and academia are key in propelling the digital health sector forward. The success of healthcare initiatives depends on digital maturity and addressing specific challenges within each country. Stakeholders need to embrace public-private collaborations for creating a cohesive global digital health ecosystem that is universally accessible and effective. This collaborative effort is essential for bridging the gap between potential and reality, fostering a healthier and more connected world through innovative HealthTech solutions. AINQA is dedicated to advancing digital health through partnerships with public entities, contributing to a future where HealthTech transcends borders and positively impacts communities worldwide. 🔍 Understanding the Theory of Change with a Private Health Tech Company 🔍 Let's delve into how a private health tech company can drive change using the Theory of Change framework: 1️⃣ Input: Picture a health tech startup investing in cutting-edge technology, data analytics, and medical expertise to develop a telemedicine platform. 2️⃣ Output: They launch a user-friendly platform connecting patients with healthcare professionals remotely, improving access to healthcare services. 3️⃣ Outcome: Patients experience reduced wait times, increased convenience, and improved health monitoring, leading to better health outcomes and patient satisfaction. 4️⃣ Impact: Over time, widespread adoption of telemedicine leads to more efficient healthcare delivery, reduced healthcare costs, and improved population health. In this scenario, the company's inputs drive outputs, which lead to outcomes, ultimately resulting in a positive impact on healthcare accessibility, efficiency, and outcomes. Understanding the Theory of Change empowers health tech companies to innovate effectively and create meaningful change in the healthcare sector. #TheoryOfChange #HealthTech #Telemedicine #HealthcareInnovation #PopulationHealth Digital Health Africa TENAWO Digital Health (e-Pharmacy and Tel-Medicine ) YALI Network YALI Regional Leadership Center East Africa Oren Simanian FSD Ethiopia iceaddis USAID Ethiopia UNDP Ethiopia African Mission Healthcare African Population and Health Research Center African Public Health Network HealthTech Hub Africa Alexander Tokman Alexander Boxler
