This week, and every week, we say thank you to the nurses at Vincentian Home, Vincentian Marian Manor, Vincentian Home Personal Care and Memory Lane, Vincentian Schenley Gardens and everywhere. Nurses are truly constantly learning, growing and evolving their profession to meet the needs of a diverse and changing society. As Florence Nightingale once said "Nursing is a progressive art such that to stand still is to go backward.” We know Vincentian nurses are always moving forward! Thank you again for all you do!

Happy International Nurses Day! Did you know we celebrate on 12 May each year because it is the anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birth? On this day Notre Dame Uni wants to recognise and celebrate the dedication and compassion of all nurses. We thank our staff, alumni and students who continue to serve their communities and support the future of healthcare. This year’s theme continues ‘Our Nurses. Our Future.’ with a particular focus on the economic power of care. #ThankANurse today and check out the link below to learn more about how the American Nurses Foundation and our partners are giving back for National Nurses Week (& every week)!
When I first joined Orr Group, my first client was the American Nurses Foundation. All these months later, we're still working together! I have been so inspired by the nurses I've met and the innovative solutions that are being developed to support the largest percentage of the workforce in the healthcare field. Next week is National Nurses Week - and we've teamed up with some amazing corporate partners that will be giving back to nurses. Check out the link below for details - or, if you've ever been impacted by a nurse (and let's be real, who hasn't been?), I hope you'll consider making a gift to help nurses have the resources and support they need to care for us but also to care for themselves. #ThankANurse

Some great tips on accessibility and working with those who have Irlen’s.
Yesterday was International Nurses Day – the birthday of Florence Nightingale. We’re spotlighting Nurse and Lecturer in Nursing, Annette (Nettie) Thomas, who always takes every chance to improve the student experience by emphasising accessibility in PowerPoint and other materials. In our day-to-day as nurses, we tend to get caught up in our tasks and lose sight of our purpose. I'd like you to take a moment and reflect on how you can embrace the demands of nursing with flexibility, adaptability, critical thinking, continuous learning, and never lose sight of your motivation. Check out my newest blog, "How Nurses Can Shake Up Post-Acute Care with Curiosity." Tell me in the comments how you shake things up in your nursing journey. 🚨 Mandated Reporter Tip - Nurses Edition 🚨 Nurses, did you know that continuing education not only enriches your practice but is also a licensure requirement? CEUs vary by state, so understanding what qualifies is key. For example, California requires 30 hours every two years, while Tennessee needs just 5. For more on navigating CEUs and leveraging courses for your specialization, check out https://lnkd.in/dASpXcnP. #nursingCEUs #continuingeducation #healthcareprofessionals
