🔈 BIG NEWS! DECISION has enrolled the first patient at Hôpital Beaujon, Clichy, France in the COMBAT Trial, a multicenter, randomized, open-label, Phase II clinical trial. This trial is a crucial component of the DECISION project, which aims to transform the treatment of decompensated cirrhosis and acute-on-chronic liver failure (ACLF), investigating albumin and enoxaparin, a potential combinatorial therapy for decompensated cirrhosis. Interesting re-analysis of REGENERATE using three independent pathologists to confirm biopsy-based efficacy findings with Ocaliva in pre-cirrhotic MASH patients. Given how subjective histological assessment is, per se, it makes sense that panel assessment involving several independent pathologists would improve reliability in all prospective phase IIb/III trials.

Having had the privilege of working on the clinical study HCP recruitment materials, this will change the management of SCN2A Praxis received Priority Medicines (PRIME) designation from the European Medical Agency (EMA) for elsunersen (PRAX-222) for the treatment of SCN2A Gain of Function (GoF) developmental and epileptic encephalopathy (DEE). The EMA’s PRIME designation provides enhanced development support for priority medicines that target an unmet need and was granted based on the Part 1 data from the EMBRAVE study that showed a reduction in seizures and improvement in seizure free days, as well as preclinical data. #clinicaltrials https://lnkd.in/gKXWn-PA
