Warrington Wolves choose TEAMcard in extended stadium access control deal Betfred Super League side Warrington Wolves have renewed with TEAMcard as their access control supplier in a new long-term agreement, which sees the club’s Halliwell Jones Stadium upgrade to TEAMcard’s latest venue access technology. As part of the extended deal, the 15,300 all-seater venue will be fitted with the latest TEAMcard F7 fixed reader technology. These advanced units deliver faster ingress for fans with bespoke messaging using the readers high-resolution LED screens. The F7 readers will also provide the unique capability for every stadium entrance to be branded for each fixture, enhancing both the fan experience and the club’s capability to maximise in-stadium revenue generation opportunities. Warrington Wolves, CEO, Karl Fitzpatrick, shared that TEAMcard has played a crucial role in improving operations at the venue. He said: "At Warrington, we are always looking to improve both on and off the pitch. TEAMcard have played a huge part in the development of improved security, match day operations and fan experience at The Halliwell Jones Stadium, and we are really pleased to be extending our relationship." Discussing the extended agreement, Robert Byrne, TEAMcard CEO said: "We are really pleased to be extending our agreement with Warrington, and are grateful to Karl and the team at the club for continuing to trust TEAMcard with managing stadium access. This is an excellent piece in SportsTravel Magazine by Managing Editor Matt Traub examining the recent boom in indoor track-and-field venue development. The venue competition hasn't reduced the number of events. It's only sparked growth in the sport, allowing for more events and more impact. While historic hotbeds in New York, Albuquerque and Boston continue to shine, newer venues in destinations such as Louisville, Spokane, Virginia Beach, Chicago and elsewhere have only added to the mix. “Rather than taking pieces of a static pie, it’s growing that pie and there’s more participation all around,” said Jonathan Schindel, co-president of The Armory Foundation, the venerable New York track venue that hosts the Millrose Games. “We’re seeing increases in every category from last year.
