The universe is telling me to talk about events again today. Here's three reasons why:
1. Four of us at Wondrous attended three different events yesterday
2. In the event I attended we touched on the importance of meeting people (where better than at events?)
3. I cleared a load of paper from my desk this morning, including some notes on event marketing from B2B Fintech Marketing Landscape Survey of last year
This post is simply a reminder that events offer opportunity to meet new people, particularly either through speaking slots or networking. It's so important in fact, that according to my survey it is ranked second in a list of most effective marketing channels to fill the pipeline.
I'm interested to know how many of us have targets around the number of events we should attend each month or quarter. Even how many conversations we should have? X conversations lead to x appointments, lead to x proposals, lead to x wins. Bit of fag packet maths, but it's definitely something to consider.
