The American Bison is the keystone species of the Great Plains. Illinois is the Prairie State. One of my goals is to see millions of acres to Bison range restored by grazing them beneath wind turbines combined with agrivoltaics. I've been inspired by Earthship Biotecture building methods throughout my life and hope to see earth berm passive geothermal structures create large enclosures combined with high tension electric fencing to make a series of zones for various agrivoltaics, carbon removal, and microgrids to support new advanced manufacturing based on the synergies of these methods. Biochar is one of most promising forms of carbon removal that can enter many aspects of circular economies and even value added to graphene using Flash Joule Heating. Modular datacenters with batched computing capable of balancing the grid can be paired with energy storage on every transformer at the base of each wind turbine or solar grid interconnection point. As a society we should aspire to build resilient infrastructure that is impervious to unforeseen future incidents like an Asteroid impact and so Earth Berm structures can protect these uninterruptible power supplies while sheltering the true treasure of this country in the form of biodiversity of living species across the great plains and their original stewards, The American Bison.

Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past. ATTN NASHVILLIANS WHO WANT TO ACTIVELY SHAPE OUR FUTURE… are you also controlling the past?? Are you controlling your present?? If you haven’t already signed up, this is an incredibly powerful way to take this moment in time to directly impact the way we move in the future… to combat the censorship and revisionist history some other (ahem) groups are pushing. Historians know that it’s not just about interrogating the voices we do hear, but also interrogating the cause of absent voices. And asking “If the voice were present, what would it say? How would it impact the story that’s being told?” Too much of history education is already reduced to excerpts and quotes taken out of context, and truly voices are at real risk of erasure.
