Friday Celebration: Collaborating with the benefit and financial teams at Vantage Pointe in Marshall yesterday! During our quarterly session, we focused on delivering exceptional customer service to our internal customers such as colleagues, managers, and suppliers. We also discussed strategies for dealing with challenging internal customer interactions. Our training sessions are always enjoyable Lunch and Learn events, featuring a provided meal and engaging discussions on various workplace-related subjects. But yikes.... MY FAVOURITE 30 THINGS ABOUT TfL 13/30 EVERY JOURNEY MATTERS It’s such a good slogan, I’m not surprised Northampton Town Council nicked it. It’s affirming to the traveller but also addresses a foundational problem at the heart of transport. If a restaurant has 40 customers, they serve 40 meals. The service sector is also bilateral: a contract per client per lawyer. A retailer will typically sell more items than they have customers: customers are special compared to the shopping. Whereas the miracle of public transport lies in the way single units serve multiple people. One train with one driver can transport thousands of people from Essex to London, with none paying much more than a fiver. It’s a kind of magic. But the risk is that the focus becomes on the train and not the customer. “Our job”, it can be easy to think, “is to move the train” and assume the customers will sort themselves out. “Every journey matters” is a constant, eloquent reminder that we might spend our days moving trains but our job is to serve customers. When you’re willing to look and listen, you can learn so much from the amazing people you work alongside, your customers, or even just waiting for the bus. Q. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve received in your career? “Always take a pen to a meeting and make sure you contribute at least one thing. Otherwise, why are you there?”. You don’t need to be the loudest person in the room, but you should always contribute something. As for the pen? You can usually borrow some paper, but a pen is harder to find when you (or the boss/client who didn’t bring theirs) need it. Q. How do you unwind? I spend a lot of my spare time chasing my sons around the park, which is fun, if not relaxing. Then, whenever the Swannies are playing, you can find me at the SCG. Q. Tomorrow morning with my first coaching group of the day we are going to be diving into the client experience and follow up around their real estate business. This seems to be a fun, hot topic for them. I love sharing this video around it. I find that when we can shift their focus on the experience they provide their clients the easier it is to create a follow up system that feels genuine to each person. How do you create an amazing experience?

Who do you trust? No I really mean this Who do you trust? I bet when you think about that it’s very few people in this self indulgent world to often try and get “one up” on you etc So when it comes to business and choosing who to use - how do you decide on who to use or buy from? Is it price Is it trust Is it the person you can rely on etc Well I am one of the few remaining people that keeps the old school ethos of morals manners and trust in my service I offer as these were installed from my grandparents who brought me up. We are not perfect - we make mistakes we get things wrong time to time we are human beings but you can trust that when you book any of my services or products you will receive a trusting service.
