Executive Facilitator | Vistage Chair | Accelerating business growth through peer advisory groups and leadership alignment for CEOs and business leaders
This is so true! I have members tell me all the time that they learn so much from talking through the decisions, opportunities, and challenges other members are working on. These conversations get them thinking and planning for "what if" scenarios they may not have considered. Because we meet every month, and have members from different industries, these conversations are intentional. They don't have to depend on just happening upon a discussion at a business or networking event. This is how #Vistage helps keep members ahead of the curve.

Behavior Change Specialist | Business Growth Expert | Founder of Du | Thrive Coach | Facilitator for Personal & Professional Growth
Embracing the Hard Stuff: Lessons from Alix Mulholland CEO of FieldDay Ireland Last week, I had the pleasure of attending a female networking event hosted by A&L Goodbody LLP, with the incredible Alix Mulholland CEO of Field Day Candles, at my all time fav hotel room2 hometels | B Corp™ I’m personally a huge fan of their Folks Collection—it beautifully captures the essence of gathering and celebrates the heritage of our land. 🌿✨ But what resonated even more was Alix’s refreshing honesty about the real challenges behind the scenes: 🕯️ Candles that didn’t sell. 💼 Packaging ideas that missed the mark. 🤔 Hiring the wrong people, not trusting gut instincts... We often shy away from discussing the hard stuff, but Alix leaned right into it. It’s clear that challenge is not the enemy—it’s the forge where resilience, creativity, and business instincts are sharpened. Smooth rides don’t teach us much. The tough moments? That’s where growth happens. Top Takeaways from Alix: *Stay Relevant*: Creativity, resilience, and confidence keep you in the game. *Confidence Comes from Wins*: Stack up small victories, and watch your momentum grow. *Reality-Check Your Thinking*: Surround yourself with honest people who aren’t afraid to challenge you. Feedback is growth fuel. *Build the Right Team*: Seek those who give you the truth, not just what you want to hear. Growth requires hard conversations. *Trust Your Gut*: Sometimes, quick decisions are necessary. Trust your instinct and lean into that inner voice. Alix also spoke about the power of staying connected to your brand values—especially in a crowded market like home fragrance. Field Day has mastered the art of evoking emotion through heritage, and that’s what sets them apart. Challenge is part of the journey—and the sooner we get comfortable with that, the sharper our instincts and our businesses will become. I’d love to hear your thoughts: How have challenges sharpened your own instincts? Let’s chat in the comments. 💬 Fabulous to share this with my @ulsterbankacceleraror ladies Laura McFarlane, Charmaine McConville, Grace Smith & Louise Doyle #InspiringWomen #WomenFounders #BusinessResilience #GrowthMindset #Leadership #HonestFeedback #BusinessChallenges #FieldDayCandles #HeritageInBusiness

Transformational President & CRO | Driving Profitable Growth, Value Creation, Turnarounds & Exits, M&A, and Strategic Planning | B2B & D2C | Private Equity, Family & Privately-Owned
Enjoyed spending time with the Vistage Worldwide, Inc. team at last week's New England Executive Summit. Good to see their Q1 CEO confidence continue to climb although that is tempered by the fact that level is reminiscent of pre-pandemic recessionary lows. Other key highlights include the continued need for more proactive C-suite succession planning and focus on leveraging AI & other technology to increase productivity. Now is a good time to reflect on this data (and the value of Vistage membership) to finish '24 strong and set the stage for growth in '25 & beyond. #ceoinsights #vistage #ceo #resilience #businessgrowth

Higher Education Scholar and Leader focused on international partnerships and research/ Associate Director of Global Strategy and Initiatives at Emory University
A few weeks ago, I had the great opportunity to be a keynote speaker for the Star Scholars conference “Paradigm Shift across Borders”. My presentation was entitled “Cultivating and Sustaining Equitable Cross-border Collaborations” I encouraged the attendees to ask themselves (and their organizations) intentional questions as they engage with potential or current partners. There were six thoughts I offered when working with partners globally: 1. Dig deeper into your motivation 2. Identify partners internationally 3. Check your privilege 4. Elevate unheard voices 5. Make conscious progress 6. Engage in thoughtful and consistent revaluation A few thoughts that resonated with attendees were to partner based on mutual values when possible, talk about what success means for each partner, leave time for thought and reflection, and don’t be afraid to end the partnership when the goals have been met or it’s not a good fit any longer. What would you add to this list? What questions do you ask yourself as you seek a new partner, grow a partnership, or make the decision to end a partnership? Thanks to the team (Charru Sharma Rania Katsara Elena de Prada Creo Nela Navarro Merab Mushfiq, MEd and many others) for inviting me! #intled #higheredpartnerships #crossborder

Keynote Speaker | National Medical TV Expert | I elevate Human and Organizational Performance, Longevity, and Resilience
I'm thrilled to share that next week, I will deliver a keynote address through the prestigious Washington Speakers Bureau on elevating human and organizational potential through connection and collaboration. This opportunity has been a long-term dream come true, and I couldn't be more excited. In my talk, I'll discuss how our ability to reach new levels of innovation, growth, and success never happens in isolation—our highest potential is only achievable when we do it together. Much like the cells in the human body, each of us plays a vital role in the overall health and success of our organizations. Just as individual cells work interdependently to keep the body thriving, so too must we collaborate to elevate our collective potential. A special shout-out to the incredible agents at Washington Speakers Bureau Kristine Clark whose unwavering support made this keynote possible. Your dedication and brilliance have been instrumental in this journey. Thank you to USPTO and the incredible team of Deangelo Aboutanos william perry iii Kathy (Nagley) Camou Dorene Matheis, MBA Kristen Johnson and Alisha Glover who have all put together a remarkable training forum for 2000+ team members at the office that bring life to innovation across our country. A heartfelt thank you to ImpactEleven (Josh Linkner Seth Mattison Ryan Estes Peter Sheahan Jordan Broad Connor Tremblay Ivy Gustafson Jenny Michaels DeRosse) for creating the space and community for me to grow as a keynote speaker. Additionally, this keynote wouldn't have been possible without running my content through the brilliant minds of my mentor Keith Ferrazzi & brothers Adam Smiley Poswolsky & Riaz Meghji —your ideas and insights have been invaluable. #KeynoteSpeaker #WashingtonSpeakersBureau #HumanPotential #OrganizationalGrowth #Connection #Collaboration #Impact11 #DreamComeTrue #Innovation #Success
