Important to double check carriers have the necessary license to move wine/alcohol across state lines. Our team is thorough and double checks prior to picking up any shipment like this. Monday and Tuesday were a hoot. 34 orders for one client and arranging prompt scheduling between the warehouse and the LTL carrier. Grateful I took the time to connect with the Estes terminal manager and we have a direct line of communication moving forward to optimize this partnership. Tradeshows are so critical for companies. Being able to be their reliable partner to make sure everything arrives not only safely, but most importantly on time is of the essence. Love when we get to be an extension of our clients and contribute with their transportation needs. So many hoops to jump through when it comes to FCL, but as a full service company we do offer it and try to excel at it. It isn't our bread and butter, but our quick response time and attention to detail allows for seamless pickups and deliveries. What a fun week it has been and we are only half way through! - We got to move 10,000 lbs of wine from Florida to New York, always tricky. - A client of ours relocated their warehouse from VA - NY. After helping them get inventory moved we managed to ship out 63 pallets and over 111,000 lbs of freight for them in 2 days. Our team moved exceptionally quick to get everything arranged. - We delivered our client's booth for their tradeshow and will pick it up next week. Happy sampling! - We have completed 6 drayage moves (not our expertise, but we can do it!) In our ten-year career in glass bottle production, we have encountered various situations and solved various problems for customers, but one of them was extremely thrilling. It was January 2019. Due to route adjustments, we shipped a 20GP container of glass bottles for a Dutch customer from Qingdao Port to Rotterdam Port. At that time, it was the Chinese New Year. We had completed the last loading of containers and the factory had also welcomed the holiday. I was at home reuniting with my family. In the afternoon, I received an email from the shipping company that our goods were robbed by pirates. It was an MSC ship flying the Portuguese flag. It was hijacked when passing through the Red Sea. More than 270 containers fell into the sea. At that time, my first reaction was to reissue new bottles for the customer, because this batch of bottles was prepared for the customer's spring new products and it could not be missed. Therefore, I informed the customer of the situation truthfully and provided proof. The customer was shocked and angry. I proposed to book a new ship again, but the customer was unwilling to choose sea transportation. It would be very expensive to choose air transportation for such a large amount of goods. At that time, I thought of the Eurasian Continental Bridge. Finally, our goods were transported by rail through Alashankou and arrived in the Netherlands in about a month, and successfully caught up with the filling time. We also compensated the customers for the goods affected by the sea transportation. Although the problem was solved perfectly, I will never forget that Spring Festival. It was a blow to us, but also a growth. Even if the problem was caused by force majeure, we could handle it calmly for the customer. People often say that service is to provide products according to the agreement, but I think this is wrong. We should have the patience to deal with risks, the courage to promote progress, and the ability to operate in the market. We should estimate risks and prospects for customers in a timely and effective manner, which is what we have been doing. #glassbottle #foreigntrade #importandexport #cork #factory

🌟2024 TOAL Vendor Expo 🌟 We had the opportunity to attend TOAL for three days, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. Sunday(Sep 29,2024) : The event kicked off with a welcome reception, where we had the chance to network over dinner and reconnect with many of the professionals we’ve worked with over the past year. It was the perfect start to what would be a very productive few days. Monday(Sep 30,2024) : We spent the morning setting up our exhibit booth, preparing to showcase our capabilities to procurement teams from universities across Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana. Before the expo, exhibitors and procurement professionals gathered for TOAL’s first-ever combined lunch, which created an excellent opportunity to connect before diving into business. In the afternoon, we had meaningful conversations at our booth with key decision-makers, discussing how our products can support their operational needs. Tuesday(Oct 1,2024) : We wrapped up our time at TOAL by attending a presentation on Customer Service in Supply Chain Management by Toya Owens-Shepard, MS, CTCD, which provided valuable insights into improving service and operational efficiency within the supply chain. The presentation was thought-provoking and gave us some great ideas to bring back to our team.
