We're excited to share that the Glacial Community YMCA has appointed Chris Sauvé as the new Board Chair during their recent annual meeting! With Chris at the helm, the YMCA is looking forward to another year of meaningful impact and continued growth.
It was a beautiful evening for our Annual Meeting this past Tuesday, where we shared Y stories of impact, highlighted the achievements of 2023, and celebrated our volunteers. Thank you to everyone who attended! Several volunteers received special recognition for their Y service: • Mike Archie - 2023 William Chapman Distinguished Volunteer Leadership Award • Chris Nelson - Key Leader Award, YMCA at Pabst Farms • Kendall Bocher - Key Leader Award, Watertown Area YMCA We want to thank our outgoing Board Chairs, Jarrod Thomas (Association Board of Directors), Sarah Sullivan (Watertown Board of Managers), and Jason Curtis (Pabst Farms Board of Managers) for their time and commitment; as well as Rob Marchant, who is coming off the Association Board after several years of service. The gavel was officially passed to Chris Sauvé, our new association Board Chair. A special thank you to Melody Pickens for joining us to share her story of how the Y has impacted her son Gage in our Early Education Center. Additionally, a special framed photo was presented to David Schroeder and Katie Schroeder for their commitment to the Y throughout the Capital Campaign to build a new YMCA in Watertown.
