Working within the manufacturing industry has given me a firsthand look at articles like this that discuss the sustainability efforts companies are making towards a circular economy. Popular companies like Nalgene and adidas have already made significant strides in sustainable business practices. With the future generations efforting towards sustainable practices more and more—the optimist in me sees the future as bright. Amidst the "doom and gloom" narratives in the news and on social media, it's rare to see the positive strides being made in sustainability. We consume 5g of microplastics per week equivalent to a credit card, with food packaging being the main culprit. 😱 This morning, I heard a shocking interview on the radio with a local farmer discussing this issue. 🔍 Studies from Newcastle (AUS), Graz (AT), and Portsmouth (UK) all confirm the same alarming results. 🚫 I don't want to eat plastic!
