💡 From project implementers, partners to young beneficiaries, CFYE's Learning Event in Kenya served as a dynamic platform for a rich intergenerational exchange of views. In her 4-minute overview, Rose Nzyoka, the Country Director for Palladium: Make It Possible in Kenya, brilliantly captured the essence and pivotal insights of the event. #Youth's testimonies offered a very relatable view into the evolving perspective on job quality and decency. The journey from the initial question of "Kazi Nikazi/Bora Kazi" – “a job is a job” – to the resounding call for "Kazi Bora", underscores the emphasis that young people put on job #decency, fair pay and getting jobs that match their aspirations. As we reflect on the success of the Challenge Fund for Youth Employment project, these learning do not simply serve to refine existing programs; they also guide implementing partners towards meaningful youth #inclusion and lay a robust foundation for similar initiatives aimed at #empowering new generations. We are proud to share that Phase 1 of the Ombango Kindergarten in Okalambo Village, Namibia has been successfully completed! Our team's dedication to safety and excellence is truly exemplary, as this foundational phase of three classrooms and a library was completed without a single safety incident within the stipulated time-frame. As we celebrate this milestone, we look towards the future with Phase 2. Our goal is to transition the Ombango Kindergarten into a fully-fledged primary school, offering grades zero to 3, to serve the educational needs of our children who currently travel approximately 5 kilometers to the nearest schools. We believe that education is the cornerstone of a thriving community, and we invite stakeholders, community leaders, and the government to join us in this endeavor to nurture the potential of every child in Okalambo and nearby villages. Together, we can ensure that the journey of learning for our children is safe, short, and stimulating. Join us in providing accessible education to the youngest members of our society. We’re excited to join the East African Community Regional Education Conference in Arusha, Tanzania, to explore innovative ways of improving learning outcomes.
