Volvo has been around for almost 100 years, and our history and heritage are very important to us. The Volvo Historical Archive holds 5,000 meters of analog assets, including 1,500 meters of film and images in various formats. To preserve them for future generations, we are digitizing parts of the collection as some may deteriorate with time and technological changes. Because when you look to the future - it’s important to know where you came from. Psst... Want to know more about Volvo’s history? At our one-of-a-kind experience centre, World of Volvo, you can take a journey through the past, present and future, including some of Volvo's most iconic vehicles and machines.
Wow, that's a long time!
Wow, 5,000 meters of analog assets! That's a lot of history to preserve. I'm glad Volvo is taking steps to digitize them for future generations. And the World of Volvo experience center sounds like a must-visit for any car enthusiast!
