We at Advent Technologies welcome the recent decision by the European Parliament (https://lnkd.in/etGvvmyt) to adopt stricter #CO2 emissions targets for #trucks and #buses. This move marks a significant step forward in the journey towards a greener future for #transportation. According to the new measures, CO2 emissions from large trucks and buses will need to be reduced by 45% for the period 2030-2034, 65% for 2035-2039, and an impressive 90% as of 2040. Moreover, by 2030, new urban buses are required to reduce their emissions by 90% and become zero-emission vehicles by 2035. We are proud to be at the forefront of this #transition, offering cutting-edge solutions to meet these ambitious targets. The Biden administration has introduced new emissions standards for vehicles, pushing towards electric vehicle usage. The proposed standards would improve air quality for communities across the nation, especially communities that have borne the burden of polluted air. Together, these proposals would avoid nearly 10 billion tons of CO2 emissions, equivalent to more than twice the total U.S. CO2 emissions in 2022, while saving thousands of dollars over the lives of the vehicles meeting these new standards, and reduce America’s reliance on approximately 20 billion barrels of oil imports. #electricvehicle #ev #electriccar #electric #electricvehicles #electricscooter #electriccars #electricbike #ebike #zeroemissions #emobility #gogreen
