We are really pleased to have entered into this new partnership agreement with Salsnes Filter and especially looking forward to seeing how it will benefit our clients. We’re very familiar with their technology and solutions, traditionally used as an alternative to a primary settlement tank, especially on sites where footprint is at a premium or where budgets do not extend to full tank construction. It is also used for ‘peak lopping’ applications, providing short-term primary treatment capacity under peak flow conditions. More recently, Salsnes Filter products have been successfully used for the treatment of storm overflows, removing solids and organic matter from excess flows arising from network CSOs and treatment plant storm tanks. The technology stands to play a prominent role in the upcoming nationwide programmes of reducing and managing storm discharges. This new partnership agreement will drive greater value in the market, as well as availing of our expertise in delivering integrated and packaged solutions including feed pumping, discharge, sludge handling, washwater provision, access steelwork and electrical/ICA ancillaries. And it’s ultimately our customers who will benefit, according to our General Manager Shaun Stevens. “This direct access arrangement ensures we can deliver Salsnes Filter products more effectively for our customers and provides the integration, commissioning and aftermarket support services that our customers are demanding. These products will play an important role in meeting many of the treatment challenges that the industry faces in the coming years.” #RethinkingWater
Strong product partnerships are the key to successful business so it's wonderful to have renewed our arrangement for the distribution of Salsnes Filter products across the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. Having worked with Salsnes Filter through a third party for several years, this new agreement means we now have direct and exclusive access to their range of belt filter products for the UK and Irish municipal markets. UK General Manager Shaun Stevens believes the company's offering fits perfectly into EPS' product mix. "Alongside our market-leading offering scraper bridges, it gives us a complete solution toolkit for primary and stormwater treatment applications". Managing Director of Salsnes Filter, Johan Sellaeg says, "We are two companies that share a great commitment for water treatment. Our values and the way we work, fit together very well. This new agreement will make it easier for municipal and industrial customers to benefit from efficient solid separation solutions". The deal was cemented at a recent meeting of the two companies at the IFAT worldwide exhibition in Munich. Pictured with Johan B. cold in place is an excellent methodology and more sustainable.
Our team at Coughlin Company would like to invite you to attend our Cold In-Place Recycling (CIR) Open House on Thursday, July 25th from 11 am to 1 pm in Beaver, Oklahoma. What is Cold In-Place Recycling (CIR)? CIR is a partial depth asphalt rehabilitation construction technique that mills up a road a full lane width at a time, crushes the RAP down to specified size, mixes the RAP with asphalt to create a 100% RAP high-performance cold mix that is then paver laid and compacted, all in one-pass. Yes, there is a lot going on in this one pass operation and it’s best to see it in-person to fully understand the process. That’s why we’re hosting this open house. Here are the details: ❓ WHO ❓ Coughlin Company is hosting the event. ❓ WHAT ❓ Cold In-Place Recycling Open House where attendees will be able to see a live CIR project in person. Lunch will be provided at noon for those that register. ❓ WHEN ❓ Thursday, July 25th, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. ❓ WHERE ❓ The project is located on County Road EW-10 (Beaver Road) near Beaver, OK and lunch will be provided at the Beaver County Fairgrounds (1107 Douglas Avenue, Beaver, OK 73932) at noon. ❓ WHY ❓ Come and see the CIR process and learn more about it. We’ll have people on the road and at the Fairgrounds available to answer your questions and provide project specific details. We’re encouraging folks to register for the event. Registration will get you on our distribution list for any weather/construction related updates and helps us judge the number of lunches that need to be provided. Feel free to share this invite with anyone that might be interested. Coughlin Company is excited to host this event and we look forward to seeing you on the 25th! #coldinplace #sustainableconstruction #gogreensavegreen #asphalt #openhouse

Secretary of the Lea Valley Growers' Association, Specialist protected Horticulture Insurance Agent for NFU Mutual
I spoke with Horticulture Week about the cabinet reshuffle and especially the tenure of Thérèse Coffey. The replacement is irrelevant as there isn’t a Food Plan and a lack of parliamentary will or time to implement one. Lee Stiles said: "The majority will remember her tenure for the sewage scandal, however, Growers believe that she didn’t show any interest in their issues such as energy prices after being overlooked for additional government ETII assistance. "Growers did not get a response to her request for views in October last year, on how government can best support British growers, however, they then announced that were developing a horticulture strategy only to scrap it six months later. "In November last year we warned of empty supermarket shelves, she didn’t listen and this materialised from February onwards followed by food rationing. "Her performance at the NFU conference in February and her response to salad shortages exhibited the behaviour of a person who simply didn’t care about British food producers. "Her comments in the House of Commons stating that 'industrial glasshouses are an emerging industry not a long established one' later that month were another kick in the teeth for many third generation Lea Valley food growing businesses who subsequently ceased trading. "She will leave a legacy of Higher volumes of imported food (up 15%), 77% of which originated from nations with worse environmental scores than the UK. "The UK production of vegetables declining (by 5.8%) in the last year and British glasshouse vegetable production falling for the seventh year in a row. "Britain's Food Security, Food Price Inflation & British growers have all suffered during her tenure." #horticulture #Foodplan #Backbritishgrowing #Backbritishfarming #DEFRA #Foodpolicy #Salad #Glasshouse #Greenhouse #foodsecurity #netzero #netzero2050 #costoflivingcrisis #energycrisis

CEO Wheatley Solutions; market leader for metering data flows, market messaging & assets software - electricity, gas, water.
One of the things found was that when Wheatley Pinpoint auto corrected variations and errors in the spelling of the meter manufacturer, it resulted in 99% of meters passing validation, compared with only 46% in the existing market data – that’s a fantastic result! This is just one of the successes found that will improve efficiencies in the water industry and help create a flourishing market, and we urge Market Operator Services Limited (MOSL) and the industry to consider the wider adoption of Wheatley Pinpoint for meter data management.
📢 We are pleased to announce that the recent Wheatley Pinpoint trial was successful, with support from Wholesalers Bristol Water, Portsmouth Water, NWG (Northumbrian Water Group) and United Utilities Water Company providing access to around 28% of non-household meters for the duration. A detailed report is being compiled on the results of the trial which we look forward to sharing with you. https://lnkd.in/dbvrhwYr #watermeters #metersoftware #waterefficiency

This technology could revolutionize how we fight fires, forest fires, and even the dreaded battery/EV fires (not well served by existing market products). Also, why are we continuing to expose our first responders to harmful chemicals when other options exist? Moving to cleaner, greener technologies is good for the environment and better for the health of those we rely on. #greenchemistry #greenventurecapital #greenaccelerator #lowcarbonfuture
Cancer is now the number one cause of death for firefighters - it used to be fatalities in a fire. What if there was a way to protect our heroes from forever chemicals? An eco-friendly, safe product that puts out fires and saves the lives of both fire victims and firefighters. FireRein Inc has done just that. When mixed with water, their Eco-Gel creates an effective firefighting gel that can replace toxic firefighting foam. The Water Brothers from TVO caught up with FireRein last year to explore this revolutionary product. Check it out ⬇ https://lnkd.in/gxPfjAax
