Happy Labor Day! Today, we honor the American workforce's dedication, innovation, and resilience. Each of us, regardless of our role or industry, contributes to the tapestry of our nation's progress and prosperity. As we reflect on the meaning of Labor Day, let's acknowledge: 1. The pioneers of the labor movement who fought for the rights and dignity we often take for granted today. 2. The diverse skills and perspectives each professional brings to the table, driving innovation and growth. 3. The importance of work-life balance and the value of rest in fueling our best work. 4. The evolving nature of work and our collective responsibility to shape a future where all labor is valued and respected. To my colleagues, clients, and connections: Your hard work doesn't go unnoticed. Whether you're taking a well-deserved break today or on the job, know that your efforts make a difference. Let's use this day to celebrate our achievements and recommit to creating workplaces and industries that uplift and empower all. Wishing everyone a safe, restful, and reflective Labor Day!

Advising companies in the innovation economy about cash: protection, movement, and overnight investing.
No clever earworms today. I hope the Labor Day weekend was good for you and yours. Riffing off this subject, take a moment to ask yourself: Does your organization have a business continuity plan (e.g., loss of power at the office)? What are our procedures if one of our employees is under threat in the workplace (e.g., disgruntled spouse, belligerent customer)? On Thursday I finished an online course entitled "Security Awareness Fundamentals" which includes such questions as above. Imagine the déjà vu I experienced when someone close to me found themselves under physical threat at their (retail) place of employment. No harm came to this person, but what I thought was notable is both the manager on duty as well has as security personnel on premise were at a loss regarding what their company's standard operating procedure was. Know your SOPs, folks. Someone being under physical threat is no time for on-the-job learning. We now return you to the rest of 2024 with 17 weeks left to get all those things you promised your boss(es) you would get done.
As we enjoy this long weekend, let's take a moment to honor the hard work and dedication of workers across the nation. Whether you're spending the day relaxing with family and friends or reflecting on the achievements of the labor movement, remember that every job contributes to the strength and prosperity of our communities. Happy Labor Day! 🌟💪

Each job is important regardless of level or salary. Employers must understand and accept we are all in a new phase of changing rules and requirements for each job. The business world is moving forward and we must keep progressing. Employers need to focus on work-vs-real life. Employee longevity also focuses on the work day and after hours. Personal time and family responsibilities as an example for Employees & Management do not need to be explained. During working hours if issues arise a private conversation is reasonable. All Policies need constant updating with Company Principles & Real Consideration. Positivity and Value to each employee and the company are always the goal.

Celebrating Labor Day: Honoring the Work and Workers Behind Every Success As we celebrate Labor Day, I’m reminded of the immense value that each person brings to the table. Whether you’re on the front lines or behind the scenes, your contributions are the foundation of success. Today, let’s recognize and appreciate the dedication, hard work, and resilience of all workers. In my journey as a professional coach, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals who pour their passion into their roles every day. From veterans transitioning into new careers to parents navigating the complexities of supporting special needs children, the common thread is a deep commitment to making a difference. Labor Day is not just about rest; it’s about reflection. It’s an opportunity to acknowledge how far we’ve come and to inspire each other to keep striving towards our goals. To everyone I’ve coached, and to those who inspire me with their perseverance, thank you for your hard work. Let’s continue to lift each other up, celebrate our wins, and prepare for the challenges ahead. Here’s to the dedication, the drive, and the endless possibilities that come from working together. Happy Labor Day! #LaborDay #ProfessionalCoaching #Resilience #Teamwork #VeteransSupport #SpecialNeedsParenting #LeadershipDevelopment
