Highly adaptable, customeroriented, technical expertise and strong emotional intelligence Field service engineer
The Unsung Heroes: Electrical Engineers with a Hands-On Background ⚡🔧 Dear LinkedIn Community, Today, I'd like to take a peek behind the scenes of my professional journey and discuss why a hands-on background is invaluable for electrical engineers. My journey began as an Energy Electronics Technician 🔧 before I chose to deepen my knowledge through studies, eventually becoming an Electrical Engineer. The significance of practical experience in our industry cannot be overstated. The transition from the workbench to the desk not only granted me a deeper understanding of the technical aspects of my profession but also provided invaluable insights into the realities of implementing electrical installations. These experiences have helped me plan more effectively, develop innovative solutions, and, above all, set realistic expectations. In my current role, where I also recruit professionals for our company, I act as a motivational coach. I encounter talented individuals who have treaded similar paths, sharing my enthusiasm for electrical engineering. The combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills makes an electrical engineer more versatile and ready for the challenges of the modern technology landscape. Close collaboration with assembly and service partners is another key aspect of my work. Whether it's large or small projects, coordination requires not only technical know-how but also emotional intelligence. The ability to communicate effectively, resolve conflicts, and foster teamwork is crucial for the success of any project. In conclusion, I want to emphasize that the value of hands-on experience in electrical engineering should not be underestimated. It's the blend of practical knowledge and theoretical understanding that makes electrical engineers invaluable resources. Let's celebrate this versatility and encourage the next generation of electrical engineers to traverse the path from the workbench to the desk. #ElectricalEngineering #HandsOnExperience #EngineeringJourney #PracticalSkills #Teamwork #EmotionalIntelligence #Technology ⚙️🛠️

My fellow electrical power engineer, mastering theories matters. Calling a vendor and following their words to replace equipment does NOT make you an electrical engineer. Reading a procedure and applying it does NOT make you an electrical engineer. Managing a project to replace a motor does NOT make you an electrical engineer. Reviewing an engineering package and ensuring it complies with company standards does not make you an electrical engineer. Troubleshooting an electrical issue in the switchgear does not make you an electrical engineer. A good electrician, high voltage technician, or electrical technician can perform those tasks successfully! What makes us electrical engineers is UNDERSTANDING electrical theories and UNDERSTANDING how they apply to the real world. When we fail to do so, we become reactive. We run equipment, and when an issue occurs, we react. Don’t believe me? Go to your company records and see how many electrical projects are on the to-do list. Now, check to see if an incident occurred before those projects were put on the list. In most cases, I bet an incident occurred in the past, and those projects were put on the to-do list. If we do not understand electrical theories, we run equipment until incidents occur. When we do understand electrical theories, we can anticipate issues. We may not fix everything, but we can properly document them and react accordingly. When we understand electrical theories, we can maximize output, maximize equipment life, significantly reduce electrical safety incidents, properly perform root cause failure analysis, and perform a cost analysis. No, understanding that an induction motor runs because of a rotating magnetic field that induces voltage is NOT understanding theory. We must explain: “How does pushing a start button allow a spin to a motor? What fundamental electrical theories and equations prove that you will have a spinning force on a rotor by pushing a button that allows voltage in the stator?” Theory MATTERS! Application of theory MATTERS! Practice MATTERS! Thierry Julio Epassa- P.E. in Sixteen USA States #engineering #electricalengineering #electrical #entrepreneurship

I am writing this comment to share my own interview Experience in 2021 in Voltech Groups. This scenario outlines a work culture that imposes some concerning and restrictive conditions on employees. Here's a breakdown of the points that raise red flags: 1. Five-Year Bond & Holding of Degree Certificate. 2. Requiring a training fee of ₹25,000. 3. Low Salary with Restrictions: ₹15,000 per month, food and accommodation they will provide. 4. No Leaves for One Year 5. Medical and Life Insurance as a Bare Minimum Overall Thoughts: As a fresh graduate attending this interview in 2021, I experienced firsthand how these exploitative terms make engineers feel trapped. The terms and conditions listed suggest a highly exploitative work culture that takes advantage of job seekers, especially those who might be in a vulnerable position. This approach undermines employee rights and dignity, reflective of modern-day "slavery-like" practices where companies prioritize their control over employees rather than fostering a fair and motivating work environment. Such practices can have detrimental effects on both employee morale and the overall reputation of the company.
