In a world where climate is a growing concern, does the weather shape how guests talk about their hotel experiences in London too? While London might not be most famous for its dazzling sun, the rain hasn't seemed to deter visitors. But are the moods of London travellers swayed by the changing climate? 🌦️🏨 Intriguing Findings in London 🌸☀️ Our recent analysis of five-star hotels in the heart of London reveals something rather intriguing. Unlike our Parisian friends, who seem to write more negative reviews in extreme weather—36% more in the cold months and 24% in the sweltering heat of July and August—London travellers sing a different tune. Sunny Seasons Shine Brighter ☀️🌼 In London, the rising mercury brings out the best in travellers’ reviews. Spring and summer are the darlings of positive feedback, with a staggering 60% increase in rave reviews during the sunny season compared to the autumnal months. Winter's Chill on Reviews ❄️❌ Winter, however, isn't as kind, leaving a chill not only in the air but also in the hotel feedback, with 20% fewer positive reviews. Spring showers, oddly enough, don't dampen spirits. Despite being the rainiest season, positive reviews flourish. Could it be that travellers romanticise the cliché of London in the rain, feeling they've captured the essence of the city in those soggy strolls? Or perhaps it's the luxury hotels, ever so considerate, offering chic umbrellas that turn a dreary day into a quaint adventure? Want to understand your guests better? at DataThinkLab, we decode your clients' dreams and frustrations to craft personalised experiences. By analysing their digital footprints—reviews, online conversations, and more—we uncover challenges and opportunities, providing quick, actionable solutions that enhance satisfaction and create unforgettable moments. 🌟 #LuxuryHotels #London #CustomerExperience #DataAnalysis #TravelInsights #DataThinkLab #DataStories

For some time now, as travellers, we’ve come to expect the places we stay to reflect the culture, food, architecture of where we are. But what was once the exception is now the norm. Like ‘environmentally conscious’, ‘locally inspired’ is quickly becoming table stakes. Meanwhile as travellers we’re looking for a deeper connection to the world around us. We travel to experience. But now, more than ever, we travel to experience something real, not staged. I love this quote from Lucie Arjona at onefinestay from one of our interviews for our upcoming report. To us, brands such as onefinestay epitomise a new era of hospitality. Where you no longer stay somewhere to have a bed for the night or a special experience, but you choose to stay somewhere because you know it will bring you closer to where you are. onefinestay’s collection of beautiful homes combined with their exceptional service, allows guests to live like a Parisian. Sleep where they sleep, shop as they shop and dine as they dine. Hospitality is no longer just about being a welcoming host. But being the curator AND the conduit. Where you don’t just reflect the locale but are the fabric of the locale. We are exploring this idea and more in our first Thoughtfulness Session next week with leaders in hospitality and travel. To be followed swiftly after with all these gems wrapped up into our latest report. Drop us a line if you want to be the first to receive a copy. #thoughtfulbrands #humanconnection #futureoftravel #futureofhospitality #thoughtfulnesssessions #brandconsultancy

A quiet crisis is taking place in hospitality right now, and isn't about technology or amenities. It's about identity. Every day we watch unique properties fade into the noise. Rich stories go untold. Heritage remains hidden. All while chains master and copy-paste experiences. The cost isn't just financial. When independent hotels lose their identity, we all lose something irreplaceable - the very essence of travel itself. Here's what folks are missing Chains can replicate your amenities. They can copy your room features. They can match your services. But they can't copy your story. They can't duplicate your heritage. They can't SOP your soul. The truth is, being forgettable costs more than being different. Your character isn't a liability - it's your most powerful asset. The question isn't whether you're unique. It's whether your guests can see it. STUDIO CIRCA #boutiquehotel #independenthotel #hotelbranding #hotelstrategy
