Part of our role in the healthcare industry is making connections between patients and families and healthcare workers. How do we do that? By helping our employees find their why. For Dwight W. McBee, Senior Vice President, Health Equity & Chief Experience Officer at Jefferson Health, his purpose has always been clear, even through challenging moments. “To get people re-engaged we have to go back to the 'why'. It's an old cliche, but it really is one of the most powerful things we can do. The quickest way to get to the 'why' is to talk to our patients and find ways to get our families to meaningfully engage with our workforce." Listen here to learn more about how he entered the field and how he’s pushing his team to be their best every day. 🎧 https://hubs.li/Q02GNxTs0 #momentsmoveus #healthcare #wambi

My advice is to stay deeply connected to the core mission of your organization…” Notably, at AtlantiCare, this planning includes a strong focus on workplace and technology – both of which impact patient health outcomes directly and indirectly. Thank you to Becker's Healthcare for continuing to shed light on such great initiatives and executive leadership in health systems around the country. "Becker's asked C-suite executives from hospitals and health systems across the U.S. to share their organization's areas of growth for the next few years. Question: What is the most needle-moving innovation you've rolled out in the past year and why? https://lnkd.in/eMfYur7F "Through a systematic approach and standardized workflow, we aspire to ensure that all patients and employees receive consistent, comprehensive care across the entire system to improve overall health and wellbeing of our patients". We have to think about the integrative care spectrum and find each patient or consumer where they are in their health journey. Additionally, we need to ensure our staff are trained to have the right conversations, ask the right questions, and offer a care model that is patient-centric in its entirety. #BeckersHealthcare #executiveleadership #healthcare #weightmanagement #wellness #integrativehealth

Here are three effective strategies to promote preventive healthcare services: 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭: Empower communities with knowledge about the benefits of preventive care through workshops, webinars, and informative campaigns. When people understand the value, they're more likely to prioritize regular check-ups and screenings. The right to health is a fundamental human right that encompasses an individual's entitlement to the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health. It is enshrined in international agreements such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. Equity is a central theme in the right to health, emphasising that everyone should have fair and equal access to healthcare services and resources without discrimination. This principle recognises that social, economic, and environmental factors can create disparities in health outcomes and access to healthcare, and aims to address these inequalities through policies and interventions that prioritize the needs of marginalised and vulnerable populations. Leapfrog’s efforts to promote equity in the right to health include ensuring universal health coverage, reducing barriers to healthcare access, addressing social determinants of health such as poverty and discrimination, and prioritising the needs of disadvantaged groups. By focusing on equity, healthcare providers can work towards creating a healthcare system that is fair, inclusive, and accessible to all, ultimately improving health outcomes for everyone in society.

While this article is dated, it explains why trust must be built among minorities interacting with the healthcare system. I am not suggesting this is a simple feat, but I am optimistic it can be done. #healthequity #healthdisparities #healthcareai

Beth Israel Lahey Health's CEO Dr. Kevin Tabb did a wide-ranging radio interview today on a variety of #healthcare hot topics, including managing burnout in the healthcare workforce that is leading to a workforce shortage. This spoke to me because I know of a number of providers, including nurses and pharmacists, who have left their clinical roles due to the high-stress hospital environment for roles where they felt they could impact more change in healthcare. To address workforce attrition, #hospitals need to deploy strong internal #communications programs to help their workforce manage and reduce where possible stress factors. These programs include effective executive communications that help employees understand how the hospital is working to meet its mission and provide information to employee questions, including some of the hot topics Dr. Tabb discussed in his interview. https://lnkd.in/eSgsV8re

Our healthcare system is in need of a revolution, and we're proud to be at the forefront of change. Our mission is to transform patient care in skilled nursing facilities and reduce preventable rehospitalizations. Our approach to healthcare innovation is centered around smarter, proactive care. Our technology doesn't just monitor patient health; it predicts potential health issues before they become emergencies, ensuring timely intervention and significantly improving patient outcomes. The heart of our system lies in its ability to seamlessly integrate into existing healthcare infrastructures, providing a layer of intelligence that empowers healthcare providers with actionable insights. This means better patient care, reduced strain on healthcare resources, and, most importantly, peace of mind for patients and their families. We're not just about technology; we're about creating a healthcare ecosystem that values prevention as much as treatment. It's about bringing together technology and compassion to provide the best possible care.
