Hurray! It’s been almost 3 months since I joined Wragby Business Solutions & Technologies Limited, and I truly feel like I’m in the right place at the right time. ✨ Wrapping up my second week at Lattice, and I’m cheesin' hard, feeling grateful and eager for what’s ahead ✨ Spending in-person time with the marketing team this week has shown me just how talented, resilient, and supportive everyone is, they are truly an amazing group of humans! As with any new job, there were numerous factors that went into my decision to join Lattice. In true marketing fashion, I’ve summed it up with an alliteration. My 3️⃣ P’s for why I chose to join: ✅ People — I thrive when surrounded by individuals who motivate, challenge, collaborate, and support one another. Reflecting on this week’s 1:1s, coffee chats, and brainstorms, it’s clear that I’ve hit the jackpot. The energy and dedication of this team and beyond are truly remarkable. ✅ Product — Using Lattice products daily has been a game changer. These tools not only enhance everyone’s job performance, whether in customer service, sales, marketing, or engineering, but also let us firsthand experience the value we bring to our customers. ✅ Potential — Both career and company potential were important to me. I sought an environment where I could be strategic, become a subject matter expert, and grow alongside a company pushing the boundaries. Last week I had the opportunity to participate in an all-hands meeting for one of our partners, Solink, to discuss how we collaborate on solutions to ensure safety at The Van Aken District. During the meeting, someone mentioned viewing my LinkedIn profile and how hearing about my background in other industries would be interesting. This got me thinking about my journey on the "road of my career" and how each of my previous positions and lessons have led me to where I am today. One fundamental philosophy I learned in my first job at a plant store when I was 15 has continued to guide my mentality to this day: "Always keep in mind that nothing we sell here is a necessity. That means people choose to spend their hard-earned dollars with us because they want to. We owe it to them to treat them right because without them, we would not have paychecks." This statement has applied to every position I have had since. My lesson learned: Don’t ever look at a job as just a paycheck. There is always something that can be learned and you never know how something as simple as a pre-shift meeting from when you were a teenager will continue to impact and pay dividends to your career over 20 years later. #goldenrule #frontlineworkers #hospitality #customerservice

Last week, as a #CommsTeamIntern at #SpartanNash, I had the exciting opportunity to participate in a Day in the Field with Josh Libkie, Grocery Operations Manager at SpartanNash's Grand Rapids Distribution Center. Josh had so much awesome insight to share in the few hours I spent with him. Here are just a few takeaways from our time together: 1. Training strategies and techniques for new employees is a lot more complicated than I would've thought. 2. It is crucial as a leader to not only reward workers but also remind them that their jobs matter and make a huge impact on SpartanNash's success. 3. Change for the sake of change usually fails. It needs to be intentional and have a clear purpose and objective. 4. It's important to solve the little things to solve a big thing. 5. "One of the greatest problem-solving tools is perspective." 🤯 It was also a pleasure to meet and meet Jacob Fuller, aPHR, and learn from Lake Zackrison as well.
