I just finished reading "Over Ruled: The Human Toll of Too Much Law", by Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch. If you're interested in Justice Gorsuch's unique perspective on law and regulation in the US today, you'll enjoy this book.
"I'm here to tell you there's no white knight and it certainly doesn't look like some old judge from Washington. The answer has to be you." - Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch speaking at the Reagan Library. #SCOTUS

In liberal democracies, protecting constitutional courts is essential. These courts safeguard democratic values by ensuring that minorities are protected from the majority, a lesson learned from Germany’s Weimar Constitution.
A strong and independent court system supports healthy democratic processes. In Germany, there is broad support for strengthening our Federal Constitutional Court, but vigilance is key. We must be cautious of what happens when courts are influenced by extremists, as seen in the U.S.
Although these risks might seem distant now, maintaining the independence of our courts and a system of checks and balances is vital to all democracies.
President Biden recently announced bold reforms to the U.S. Supreme Court. But Harvard constitutional scholar Ryan Doerfler argues that they don’t go far enough to "return decision-making authority to elected officials." bit.ly/4d9TFLJ
What the Bible says about Corrupt Judges
IT IS TIME FOR THESE SIX JUSTICES OF THE SUPREME COURT OF THE US TO RESIGN AS THEY HAVE SHOWN BY THEIR ACTIONS THAT THEY NO LONGER CAN JUDGE WITH IMPARTIALITY, FAIRNESS, HONESTY AND WITHOUT FEAR OR FAVOR
Proverbs 17:23
The wicked accepts a bribe in secret to pervert the ways of justice.
Deuteronomy 27:25
The reference is to taking bribes that lead to the death of the innocent, most often in a judicial context. Such bribes are by nature “under the counter,” since the cornerstone of any properly functioning jurisprudence is impartiality (Leviticus 19:15; Deuteronomy 10:17-18, I Timothy 5:21; James 2:1, 9).
Judges are to be unimpeachably honest, disinterested. This is, of course, in reference to the ninth commandment, forbidding bearing false witness (see Exodus 20:16 and more specifically, Exodus 23:7-8).
Isaiah 1:21-26
Isaiah 1:21-26 is especially interesting because it describes the harlotry principle working within the social justice system. Judges were selling themselves out through accepting bribes or for personal advantage in some other area of life, and counselors—lawyers—were giving bad advice to tip the scales of "justice" favorably for their careers. Under such corruption, justice in Israel was difficult to find, so difficult that "the prudent keep silent at that time, for it is an evil time"
All Six Fascist Supreme Court Judges, when
appearing before the Senate prior to confirmation, testified, “No one is above the law.” How can Mr. and Mrs. or Miss America ever believe any of them ever again ⁉️

**I HOPE YOU'RE PAYING ATTENTION TO THIS** Love him or hate him, Mr. Trump deserves fair and equal treatment under the law - just like you and me and every other citizen of the United States. I am neither a lawyer nor constitutional scholar, but *some who are* have been commenting about the efforts to hamstring his campaign via lawfare. One of the voices I trust the most in legal matters is Harvard Law professor emeritus Prof. Alan Dershowitz. It should be noted that Prof. Dershowitz is a lifelong Democrat. He is not a Trump fan-boy. 😉

All of this has a distinct 'odor of mendacity' about it. (look that one up for yourself).
Rules are being 'bent' and/or disregarded entirely. The American system of justice is being weaponized in a way that we have never seen before, which should be deeply troubling to anyone who values their individual freedoms and the Constitution.
HERE'S MY POINT. Read what Prof. Dershowitz says here. Do your own research and fact-checking about laws, trials, procedures, etc. Suspend your ideology and 'politics' for a bit and consider some alternate views. Dig into the details. And then ask yourself: "If I was treated in the exact same way as Mr. Trump is being treated, would that be a good or bad thing?"
The law is either fair FOR ALL or it is not fair AT ALL. Pass it along, my friends.
Chief Justice González is the real deal! Read this excellent article by Judge Mansfield (also an excellent, excellent judge and human being) before marking your ballots for the Supreme Court.
Municipal Court Judge at City of Lakewood, Washington
In 2021, I wrote a wide-ranging interview with Washington State Supreme Court Justice Steven González that was published in the Washington State Bar Association’s Bar News magazine. His ideas about the future of justice in this state and in America still ring true.

Powerful interview with Dr David Martin, if you are following the covid investigation and the recent court rulings in the US, you will find this most enlightening.
