The main deposits or mines in this area are generally associated with a major geological fault, the Zaghouan fault, which carries deep hydrothermal fluids (deep fluids because Cu and Hg mineralisation is an indicator of very deep origin with a temperature of between 120°C and 200°C). This is characterised by a salinity 3 to 6 times greater than the salinity of seawater, Hg, Cu, Zn, Ba . .. Also in East of the fault a major accident which favours the mineralization of mine hamen jdidi and zriba and in West mineralization of jbal oust.

The next Bayan Khundii gold mine? Mongolia wide GIS-based data package for sale. The data package contains information on +400 “orogenic” gold prospects throughout Mongolia. The package was meticulously put together under the supervision of Dr Ford, CET and TRY geologists over two years. The package includes historic Russian data. Further, the data package can be adapted to identify epithermal gold and porphyry related targets. Nordic GEO Solutions opines the data package provides transformational potential for explorers as Mongolia is exceptionally rich in mineral resources but yet very under-explored with very significant opportunities (in places), as noted in a new paper by Storetvedt & Michaelsen ( 2024): Sedimentary basins, hydrocarbons, graphite, coal, and Cu-Au deposits – from Mongolia to the Pacific margin: Interplay between the ubiquitous orthogonal fracture network and Global Wrench Tectonics. #Mongolia #Gold #Next #Bayan #Khundii

-- Why are there so few artificial deposits in Ukraine? -- What are the advantages and disadvantages of the largest limestone deposit put into use in recent years? -- Why and when "non-classical" limestones can replace "classical" ones in the composition of cement raw materials, and how will they affect the production cost? -- Did the state do the right thing by canceling licenses for geological exploration work? #ASXNews Copper identified in soil samples along strike-extensive gossans at Baratta Stelar Metals is pleased to provide an update on the initial results of the June exploration activities at the Baratta Copper Project in South Australia. Baratta is considered highly prospective for Sediment-hosted Stratabound Copper mineralisation and is analogous to the Central African Copper Belt. • Copper mineralisation identified in soil samples along four strike-extensive gossans at Baratta. • 1,182 soil samples were collected and analysed using portable XRF in June, with pXRF results up to 2% copper. • 77 rock chip samples were submitted for multi-element laboratory analysis along a 3.4km striking portion of the gossan, with results pending. • Historic Baratta #Copper Mine produced copper ore between 1896 and 1904 from a 1.5km long zone of workings. • Copper anomalism and mineralisation at the surface are underlain by dense and magnetic bodies, increasing prospectivity at Baratta. • Baratta’s geological setting displays characteristics Stelar considers similar to those seen in the Central African Copper Belt, the world’s second-largest copper-producing province. Exploration is the starting point for assessing the mineral potential. Great to see #Zambia embarking on a country-wide assessment of its raw materials after 50 years. Also good to see a leading European company, #Xcalibur, selected to carry out the smart mapping. The next steps will also be important: quality control of the aerial geophysical data, data management and dissemination in a form that businesses can use easily to develop viable exploration drilling and mining projects.
PRESIDENT Hakainde #Hichilema yesterday launched the first-ever countrywide high-resolution aerial geophysical smart mapping survey as a catalyst to achieve the target of producing three million tonnes of copper per annum. The President said it is difficult to achieve the annual copper production target with the existing mines alone despite the increase in investments and the resuscitation of #Mopani Copper Mines and Konkola Copper Mines as well as Shaft 28 in Luanshya under his administration. The mapping will be carried out by #Xcalibur for a period of 18 to 24 months depending on the weather pattern and data handed over to the Zambian government at the end of the mapping. Amira Global would like to invite you to a round table which has a focus on its new P1336 Global Basins Project. At this stage we are inviting all interested industry participants to come along to an online informal presentation. We invite feedback from potential Industry sponsors to assist with co-creation of an impactful project. In its pilot stage, the Global Basins Project aims to integrate existing multidisciplinary data and knowledge through time and space relating to multiscale basin evolution to highlight global (process-related) and local (geography-specific) knowledge gaps that will be tackled in consecutive projects under the Global Basins Project umbrella. The Global Basins Project will foster multilateral exchange and collaboration between the hubs to pave the way for a comprehensive understanding of basins from the viewpoint of metallogeny, to determine: • how the basin evolved with respect to diagenesis and fluid composition, • when major geological events that may have triggered fluid movement in the basin occurred, • what exploration strategies would be effective to discover a deposit. Roundtable Registration Link: https://lnkd.in/gcu6YCEq For further information please contact Hayley Mcgillivray
