Gold, the "shining star" of Kenyan minerals, is found in various regions, with the Kakamega Forest hosting the largest gold reserve in East Africa. Other valuable minerals include iron ore, limestone, soda ash, and niobium, used in steel production and jet engines. These resources hold immense potential for Kenya's economic growth and development and their sustainable and responsible extraction is crucial to ensure long-term benefits for the country and its people. However, one mineral is set to elevate Kenya’s mineral wealth prospects beyond the country’s wildest dreams. This is because Kenya recently announced the discovery of extensive deposits of coltan, a rare and precious mineral highly coveted in the tech world. So, what is coltan❓What is it used for❓ And how rich can Kenya get from the discovery of this mineral❓ On Wednesday, January 24th, 2024, 🔶Kenya's Minister for Mining, Blue Economy, and Maritime Affairs, Salim Mvurya, formally announced that the country has discovered large deposits of the rare mineral Coltan in six counties across the nation including Samburu, Turkana, West Pokot, and Tana River. 😫Announcing at the County headquarters of Embu, one of the counties which have been established to have the precious metal, Minister Salim Mvurya clarified that the government is now assessing the economic value of the mineral through ground truthing so it is not clear exactly how large the coltan deposits found in Kenya are in terms of figures. .

The main deposits or mines in this area are generally associated with a major geological fault, the Zaghouan fault, which carries deep hydrothermal fluids (deep fluids because Cu and Hg mineralisation is an indicator of very deep origin with a temperature of between 120°C and 200°C). This is characterised by a salinity 3 to 6 times greater than the salinity of seawater, Hg, Cu, Zn, Ba . .. Also in East of the fault a major accident which favours the mineralization of mine hamen jdidi and zriba and in West mineralization of jbal oust.

Imagine if Libya had a proper government in control of these mine sites. The potential outcome could be extraordinary, especially with major companies like Rio Tinto, bhp and other investment firms entering the country. We wouldn't have to rely solely on oil and gas; in fact, they might become the least significant part of our income. And gold is just what we know of so far. There's also a high potential for iron ore in regions like garyan and Jebel Nafusa. The possibilities are endless for Libya's future with a proper government!

We're pleased to advise shareholders we have received results from the recently completed soil sampling program at the Wali Project within the prolific James Bay region, Quebec. The 100% owned Wali Project has confirmed multiple anomalous results that orientate adjacent to the topographical high. 🔷Results include multiple lithium and gold anomalies, with a peak lithium value of 20ppm and peak gold value of 436ppb with associated pathfinder elements. 🔷 Sampling locations were designed to target a prospective ~1.2 km² area at Wali, which covers a number of previously mapped pegmatites. Executive Director, Brent Palmer, commented: “This program was designed to target mineralisation that remains hidden beneath the cover on the mountain through a soil sampling campaign. Trinex Minerals Limited has identified numerous spodumene-bearing pegmatite outcrops and boulders in the northern half of the Halo-Yuri Project in Canada, presenting high-priority walk-up drill targets. The terrain in the northern area is flat-lying tundra dominated by glacial till, boulder fields, marshes, and lakes. #Spodumene-bearing pegmatite encountered was typically as boulders, with 278 mineralised boulders observed, and 24 mineralised outcrops mapped.
