Let's face it. Selling is hard. It can wear you down, make you second guess yourself, and for some, even avoid potential opportunities altogether. Sure, there are those of us with a natural inclination to sales - we enjoy it (most of the time) and have success at it. But none of those factors exclude the simple truth - selling is hard. Of course, selling is also necessary. It's how our businesses stay in business. Your team may know this on a subliminal level, but are they fully embracing their role as sales? And to clarify, though their title may suggest otherwise, every role is built on the foundation of sales. The truth is if you can't "sell" the appointment or the equipment upgrade you're not only not a salesperson, but you are also falling short as a call taker or technician. If you've ever asked yourself why so many of your team find selling hard, one answer is their mindset. They simply are not aware of (or trained in) that aspect of their job. So, what's the answer? A well-thought-out selling system that trains each role on all aspects of performance, including closing the deal while building client loyalty. It's really very simple; results are from actions.
